If you want to make the most out of the plants you gather in Arknights: Endfield, you should set up an auto farm for crops and seeds.
Having the automated farm doesn’t just stop you from having to gather plants manually. It also stops you from having to even look for them! You can infinitely produce plants with the proper setup.
In this guide, I’ll tell you everything you need to know for your automated farm.
How to Set Up Auto Farm for Crops, Seeds & Plants

The first thing you’ll need to do to set up an automated farm is to unlock the Planting node in the AIC Plan. It’s in the Basic AIC II tier, in the Processing category.
This will give you two main facilities. The Seed-Picking Unit to make seeds out of plants, and the Planting Unit to grow seeds into plants.
Want to know what’s funny here? The Seed-Picking Unit actually produces 2 seeds per plant! That means that you can use both machines to create a feedback loop, resulting in an infinite number of plants.
For that, you’ll want to follow the clip above. The gist of it is that you place 1 Seed-Picking Unit and 1 Planting Unit. Put one output belt from the Seed-Picking Unit to the Planting Unit’s input, then put one of the Planting Unit’s output belts into the Seed-Picking Unit’s input.
Then, you just need to place whichever plant you want manually in the Seed-Picking Unit. Say, for example, you collected some Sandleaf and want to multiply it since you need loads to make Cryston Component.
With this setup, that 1 Sandleaf will turn into 2 Sandleaf Seeds. Then those seeds will grow at the Planting Unit into 2 Sandleaf, which will then turn into 4 seeds. So on and so forth!
How to Maintain the Feedback Loop While Producing Materials
Now, the setup I told you about also allows you to just infinitely produce materials from plants. You just need to add another output belt from the Planting Unit.
Connect 1 belt to another unit, such as a Shredding Unit, to produce materials like Sandleaf Powder. Or, if you wish, you could just bring the extra plants back to your PAC storage. Maybe use Filling Units for medicine. It all depends on what you need here!
If you just set this up and started with just 1 plant, I recommend giving it some time first, though. Wait until the Seed-Picking Unit starts to hit the 50 item input cap. Then you can start to divert plants from the Planting Unit into processing units instead of the Seed-Picking Unit.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is not break the feedback loop. Make sure there’s always at least 1 plant going back to the Seed-Picking Unit.
To ensure that, it’s a good idea to use Splitters on one of the Planting Unit’s outputs. By doing so, you ensure that only 50% still goes back to the Seed-Picking Unit. The other 50% will be split across up to 3 belts from the Splitter.
Do keep in mind this type of setup requires a lot of Power! I highly recommend you increase your AIC’s Power Limit before setting up an auto farm.
That’s really all you need to know to set up an auto farm for crops, seeds, and plants in Arknights: Endfield! This simple trick makes it so you never have to go gathering plants ever again.
