Released back in 2016, this game hasn’t lost any of its hype to this very day. Still immensely popular, it continues to ruin friendships and relationships alike! But did you know that you can play Overcooked online?
Today, we’ll be giving you a step-by-step guide on how to play Overcooked online with friends or your girlfriend. Just make sure not to blame us for any ensuing fights or possible disputes. Let’s get started!
Option 1 – Parsec
The easiest of the two options provided in today’s guide is gaming online via Parsec. Parsec is a free-to-use app designed to enable co-op online multiplayer modes. The steps you need to undertake are the following:
You need to have Overcooked installed. Either a free copy from the Epic Games store or purchased from Steam.
Go to the Parsec Arcade and choose the game you wish to host (in this case Overcooked) – please note that Overcooked needs to be running to do this.
Share the joining link with your friends, girlfriends, brothers, sisters, and other unruly beings.
Enjoy the game!
Your friends will be required to download Parsec as well for this option to work.
Option 2 – Nvidia
Albeit a bit more complicated, this option can be a good way of playing Overcooked with your loved ones. Here is a step-by-step guide on what you need to do:
Launch the Nvidia GeForce Experience app.
Go to Settings and tick the box that says “Enable Experimental Features”.
An update may be required, update if necessary.
Enable the “In-Game Overlay” option.
Now head over to the audio settings and select the option “Separate Both Tracks” – this will ensure that all comms work as they are supposed to.
Now go to the Stream option and select “Allow friends to join a game and play as a guest”.
Finally, enable the Nvidia Experience overlay, hit the “Stream” option, and copy the joining URL.
Your friends simply need to follow the link and enjoy their game.
With these two options, chaos is guaranteed! Dive on into the world of Overcooked with your friends and try not to fight too much.
