In Skull and Bones, Juniper is a type of wood that is extremely hard for its weight. It can be refined to craft advanced ships and equipment. Here is how and where to find both the raw material Juniper and its refined form Juniper Planks, to fill your crafting needs!
How to Get Juniper

When gathering Juniper wood, mark the locations on your map to make it easy to find resource spots. Do this by opening your Knowledge tab and selecting your Codex. Scroll down to Materials and select Raw Materials from the list.

Juniper can be found under Raw Wood. Select a track and its location will be marked with little trees in all open areas of your map.

A saw is needed to cut those trees down so make sure you have the necessary tools for harvesting. Set out to any of the marked Juniper locations once you are kitted out. You will find most of these locations around the East Indies islands.

Sail up alongside the land where the juniper trees are growing and take a hack at the saw’s mini-game. Hitting the yellow zone will still get you some resources but go for green if you want to maximize your farming.
You will need five Junipers to make each of your own Juniper Planks, so make sure to gather enough. (You can just loot these trees but it will only get you one Juniper per tree)

When your Juniper Wood is on board, turn your sails back toward Saint Anne. Once there, head over to the Refinery. There you can convert many of your raw materials into refined items including 5 x Juniper to 1 x Juniper Planks for a small fee.

If you have enough to craft the item it will have a little yellow hammer in the top right corner. Don’t forget to collect your refined items once they are finished!
Where to Get Juniper Planks?

However, if you are feeling particularly rich or chaotic you can also go straight for the refined resource. By using your codex to track Juniper Planks, settlements, and trade routes for that resource will be marked on your map.
You can then buy Juniper Planks from places like the Laar West Lumberyard and Oosten Capital (the cheaper of the two).
Alternatively, take the cheapest route – plunder those settlements or ransack the trade ships carrying the loot you desire. Just make sure your bite is worse than your bark, they will not go down without a fight!
