To make the most of your Lightning Arrow (LA) Deadeye build in Path of Exile 2, you’ll want to craft a bow and quiver focused on Crit Damage. The build just really lends well to landing constant high-damage critical hits! Of course, though, the crafting system’s density and its randomness can make it hard to figure out a good crafting method. In this guide, we’ll give you a step-by-step crafting process for this build!
Craft Basics for the Crit Bow and Crit Quiver For LA Deadeye | Path of Exile 2

Before we begin, we want to remind you again that the crafting process in POE2 is very luck-reliant. There’s a lot of RNG at almost every step, which can greatly change how many resources you need to spend to get something you’re satisfied with. It is all luck of the draw, ultimately!
Additionally, the crafting system in POE2 is fairly dense. We’ll try to keep things simple so everyone can follow along, but it’s highly recommended to have some familiarity with how endgame crafting works in this game.
With that little introduction out of the way, let’s go over the step-by-step guide for these two crafts!
Crit Bow Crafting Steps

- Get a Magic bow to use as a base. Ideally, use an Item Level 81 Gemini Bow, as they are quite plentiful as loot drops.
- Once you have your bow, use a Greater Essence of Seeking on it to give it a Critical Hit Chance modifier and upgrade it to Rare. Try to aim for around 3.7% Critical Hit Chance ideally.
- When you get a satisfactory modifier, use a Preserved Jawbone on the bow. Make sure you get to keep the Critical Hit Chance modifier. This will add a Desecrated Modifier, which can’t be Fractured.
- Next, use a Fracturing Orb. This is pure RNG, but you want to Fracture the Critical Hit Chance modifier. This will lock it in, protecting it from further modification.
- After that, use Orbs of Annulment on the bow until you only have the Critical Hit Chance modifier left.
- Now, you’ll need to use Chaos Orbs. A lot of them, in fact! Keep using them until you get good modifiers such as Tier 2 Add Elemental Damage or Tier 3 Percentage Increased Physical Damage.
- Next, activate an Omen of Sinistral Necromancy and use another Preserved Jawbone on the bow. Then, activate an Omen of Abyssal Echoes and unveil the Desecrated Modifier. You want one of the following modifiers here, from best to worst outcome:
- Increased Bonuses from Equipped Quiver
- Increased Companion Damage
- Tier 2 Add Elemental Damage
- Tier 3 Percentage Increased Physical Damage
- Percentage Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks
- If you don’t get one of these, or you get one you personally don’t like, use an Omen of Light + Orb of Annulment and try again.
- When you’re done with the Desecrated Modifier, you’ll need to use an Omen of Dextral Exaltation and an Exalted Orb on the bow. The outcome of this doesn’t matter; it’s just to get a 4th modifier.
- Then, use an Omen of Dextral Crystallization and a Perfect Essence of Electricity on the bow. It’ll gain a Percentage of Damage as Extra Lightning Damage modifier.
- We’re nearly at the end! Next up, use two Exalted Orbs. The results here do not matter very much unless you get an extremely lucky result, such as Critical Damage Bonus.
- Then, to finish up, use a Perfect Essence of Battle and then a Perfect Essence of Haste. If you got a good roll on the previous step, only use one of these Essences. If this still results in you losing the good modifier from the previous step, use both Essences as normal.
With that, your Crit Bow is all done! At this point, you’ll just need to use Blacksmith Whetstones to max out the bow’s quality and then add some Runes to your liking. As a basic setup for a LA Deadeye in Path of Exile 2, the Rune of Spring should work well for this Crit Bow and Quiver setup.
Crit Quiver Crafting Steps

- First, get any Normal-rarity Quiver. Use a Perfect Orb of Transmutation and a Perfect Orb of Augmentation to turn it into a Magic item with 2 Modifiers. You want a combination of any of the following affixes:
- Critical Hit Chance
- Critical Hit Damage
- Added Elemental Damage
- Increased Attack Speed
- Increased Projectile Speed
- Once you have a satisfying base, use an Omen of Homogenising Coronation + Perfect Regal Orb on the quiver. You’ll want to get these prefixes: Added Elemental Damage, Increased Damage with Bow Skills, or Increased Projectile Speed.
- When you get the desired affixes, use an Omen of Sinistral Necromancy + Preserved Jawbone on the quiver. Like with the bow, also activate an Omen of Abyssal Omens before you unveil the Desecrated Modifier! You’ll want to aim for either Increased Damage with Bow Skills or Add Elemental Damage.
- If you get something undesirable, try using an Orb of Annulment, though it’s generally not worth using an Omen of Light due to its cost. Should this remove one of the affixes you wished to keep, you’ll need to restart the crafting process with another quiver.
- As the finishing step, use Omen of Homogenising Exaltation + Omen of Exaltation + Greater Orb of Exaltation. This will give you some random modifiers to finish the craft. It doesn’t matter too much what you get, but we do hope you get something good!
So, there you have it. That’s the whole process to craft a Crit Bow and Quiver for an LA Deadeye build in Path of Exile 2. These crafting processes are meant to be fairly accessible while also not being too costly. We hope this helps you smite foes quickly with your crits and Lightning Arrows!
