Trying to complete the trial in the Cave of Eerie Murmurs is one of the many new activities you can do during the summer event for Genshin Impact 4.8.
If you’ve already helped out Princess Cimest in the past, you’ll know about the trials she has undergone trying to activate a Relic. Things seem to still not be going as planned for her, so she requests your help completing another set of trials!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to complete the trial in the Cave of Eerie Murmurs with ease.
Complete the Trial in the Cave of Eerie Murmurs | Genshin Impact 4.8 Guide
The Trial in the Cave of Eeerie Murmurs is part of the “The Answer of the Lotus Leaves and Forest” quest. To unlock it, you must first complete “The Forest and the Princess”. Then talk to Princess Cimest back at the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells, marked on the map above.
It seems that Princess Cimest still needs to complete more trials to be able to use the Relic’s power.
After watching the cutscene, travel to the Cave of Eerie Murmurs on the eastern corner of the Forest of Blessings in Simulanka. We’ve marked it for you on the map above. Enter the cave and start the trials, we’ll help you complete them!
First Trial
These trials work similarly to the ones for “The Forest and the Princess”. You just need to command Princess Cimest to fly through sets of floating garlands in one go.
The first thing you should do for this trial is activate both of the flowers in the room by sending Princess Cimest toward them. There’s one to your left as you enter the room.
The second flower is on the opposite corner of the first one. It’s on the rightmost side of the room in the back.
Once you’ve activated both of the flowers, interact with the paper frog on the drum. This will make it jump and raise the flower on the lily pad directly in front of it. This will complete the circuit of floating garlands, all that’s left is to make Cimest fly!
Position yourself in front of the ground-level garlands and send Princess Cimest through them and into the air current.
Then, look for a lily pad by the entrance to the room. It will sporadically rise and lower due to a water stream. Stand on it when it’s on the ground and wait for it to raise you.
You’ll now be in front of the floating garlands at the top of the room. Princess Cimest will be directly opposite of you. Just call her toward you and she’ll fly through the garlands and complete this first trial!
Second Trial
You’ll get a cutscene right after you complete the first trial in the Cave of Eerie Murmurs in Genshin Impact. The room’s configuration will change after the cutscene, initiating the second trial here! Just like before, start by activating all three flowers in the room.
There’s one flower on the ground level behind Princess Cimest when beginning the trial.
The other two flowers are on elevated lily pads close to the paper frog’s drums.
Once you’ve activated all three flowers, make the paper frog jump on both of the drums. You want to have all flowers on the ground level.
With everything now in place, it’s time to send Princes Cimest through the ground-level set of garlands. They’re on the rightmost side of the room if you’re facing the paper frog’s drums. Send her through them all and into the air current.
Then, go to the leftmost side of the room and stand on the lily pad when it’s on the ground.
Once the lily pad floats up, you should be in front of the diagonal line of garlands. Call Cimest toward you so that she goes through the garlands and completes the trial!
Now all that’s left is for you to speak to Princess Cimest one last time. A cutscene will start and an extended automated sequence will play out. Enjoy the trip, this is your reward for completing all of these trial puzzles with Princess Cimest!
