The Creative Mode in Fortnite lets you put your creativity to the test. It provides you with your own customizable island that you can build yourself or together with your friends. With Creative Mode, you can test your creativity and create a custom island that you, your friends, and other players can play on online.

At the same time, there can be instances when you mess up. For example, you might have placed an object on a certain spot incorrectly. Luckily, you can actually delete any object you place and even reset your island as a whole.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to do just that.

How to Delete Objects and Reset Island in Fortnite Creative Mode in Fortnite

Deleting individual objects in Fortnite’s Creative Mode is actually pretty easy. All you need to do is use your phone which you can access via its hotkey. This will depend on the platform you’re playing in.

After bringing up your phone, you just have to point it at the object you’re planning to delete. It will appear in a blue highlight, and to delete it, just press the Delete button depending on your platform’s hotkey.

You can see the hotkey assigned to the Delete action on the contextual menu to the left of your screen.

Just keep in mind that you have to be close enough when pointing at an object you want to delete. Otherwise, it won’t show up in a blue highlight.

But what if you want to delete everything you have placed on that island? Well, there’s the option to reset it as well. To do so, open your Main Menu and head over to the My Island option which you can find on the left side of your screen.

Inside the My Island options, navigate to the Tools tab. There will be four options you can choose from. The final option which says “Rest Island to Original State” is the one you should pick if you want to reset your island.

After choosing the option, a confirmation window will pop up. Just pick the Confirm option, and this will take you back to the hub. Just go back to the portal so you can get inside your island with everything already delete.

Before you attempt a reset, just make sure to create a backup first just in case you want to go back to your original creation.
