You want to look good, everybody does. There’s no harm in that, you bought the gear after all so why not show off a little?
In some other games that can display your character, setting up a portrait is just one or two clicks away. Here you have to follow a few set of directions to make sure that your portrait stays as it is!
Remember, it helps to do your job at a party as that’s what’s expected from you. But you would appreciate yourself more if your portrait looks good as that may just be the edge you need in getting that commendation you’re after!
Guide To Instant Duty Portraits – FFXIV Online
Having Instant Portraits is a feature that’s greatly appreciated. But at certain times messing around with it can get tricky, it can break and revert back to the default portrait too. Don’t worry though, we’re here to help you figure things out!
First we’ll start off by updating your gear set, go to the class next and make sure Instant Portrait is set to on. You can find that on the lower right of the Portraits screen once you have it opened.
You will get an alert like the one provided in the image above when you change gear on a low level. Unfortunately, that will break the Instant Portrait and you’ll get the default mugshot upon joining a duty.
Make sure you wear what you want however and update your gear for that class, click on Edit, make sure it’s saved, and the yellow indicator should be gone once you open Portraits again.
And you’re done! Just make sure that your gear is always updated when you set your portraits to make sure they work every time.
Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
