Update 0.8.0.0 for Enshrouded coincides with the Lunar New Year, so it introduces a bunch of new Serpent Weapons, some of which require you to find Journal Pages and solve the Ouroboros Temple puzzle to get.
There’s a new staff, sword, and bow. All in all, it’s just 3 new serpent-themed weapons made primarily out of jade. They look pretty unique, so they make for sweet additions to everyone’s collection!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to get all of these new weapons. This includes the solution to the Ouroboros Temple puzzle as well as any Journal Pages talking about the Serpent Weapons in Enshrouded.
How to Get All Serpent Weapons + Journal Pages & Ouroboros Temple Solution | Enshrouded
Staff of the Serpent
Let’s kick things off by picking up the Staff of the Serpent. It’s one of the easiest Serpent Weapons to get in Enshrouded and it’s also close to one of the new Journal Pages. To start, go to Netherton east of the Springlands Ancient Spire. We’ll be starting from the northern entrance of the town.
Enter the town from the north and take a quick left. Go across the ruined rampart and through the small narrow cave leading to the town proper.
Eventually, you’ll reach some wooden planks overlooking the town proper. Look for the grappling point on the building in front of you and use it to cross the gap.
Once you cross the gap, turn to your right to face west. Jump down to the section below. You want to reach the wooden platforms at the very bottom. Don’t just straight down, though, use your glider or jump onto the lower section of the building first to be safe.
When you’re finally at the bottom, turn south to find a set of wooden platforms. Jump onto the middlemost platform and interact with the only wall near it.
It’s an obvious fake wall, so just push it open!
This will reveal a hidden compartment with a chest. Open the chest to get the Staff of the Serpent!
Journal Page 1 – About the Goods
Next up, let’s go for the Journal Pages. Both of them hint at the location of the Sword of the Serpent. The first one can be found in Netherton right after you get the Staff of the Serpent. We’ll be using the Staff of the Serpent’s location as our starting point here! To start, leave the hidden compartment with the chest and jump on the platforms to the north.
You should end up close to a ladder, facing west. Climb up this ladder.
After you climb up the ladder, turn around to face east and go straight through the tunnel.
Once you get out of the tunnel, turn to your left and face northeast. Go through the doorway in the ruins closest to you.
You’ll find the Journal Page on the windowsill directly in front of you as you enter the ruins. Just walk up to it and interact with it to read it!
Journal Page 2 – Let Sleeping Dogs Lie
For this one, you need to go to the unnamed ruins directly southwest of the Revelwoods Ancient Spire. We’ve marked their location on the map above.
Look for the building with planks on its doorway on the eastern side of the ruins. Use a weapon to smack those planks down and enter the building.
Once you enter the building, turn to your right and go up both flights of stairs until you reach the upper section of the ruins.
Then, continue forward and enter the building to your right. You will be facing north as you enter the building, for reference.
Lastly, turn to your left once you go through the doorway. You should instantly notice the Journal Page atop the desk in the corner of the room. Let’s hope the skeleton pal right here doesn’t mind us taking it!
Sword of the Serpent
As you might’ve surmised from both of the Journal Pages, the Sword of the Serpent is at Glennwood’s End. This is a settlement near The Blackmire, northwest of the Revelwoods Ancient Spire.
Reaching this one is quite easy since Glennwood’s End is easy to navigate and doesn’t have any big obstacles or Shroud to deal with. All you need to do is make your way to the big building in the northernmost part of the settlement.
Once you enter the building, just go straight to reach the opposite end of the entrance. You’ll find a golden chest there. Open it up to get the Sword of the Serpent. It’s as easy as that!
Bow of the Serpent – Ouroboros Temple Puzzle
Now that you’ve collected the Journal Pages and 2/3 of all the Serpent Weapons in Enshrouded, it’s time to visit the Ouroboros Temple. You can find this temple in the Shrouded area directly south of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Make sure to be ready to deal with the Shroud there and also bring a bow with you!
Once you enter the temple, you will be in a large hall. You can find a locked door opposite the entrance. To open this door, you need to solve the Ouroboros Temple puzzle by finding and activating 5 different panels in the hall.
You can find one panel by the snake statue on the western wall. Just shoot it with your bow from the entrance.
Similarly, there’s another panel and snake statue on the eastern wall as well. Like before, just shoot it with the bow.
Next up, look for a pressure plate on the western part of the lower floor. You’ll need to jump down onto this one to activate it.
Once you step on the pressure plate, turn around to face east. This is a bit tricky, but try to snipe the other panel from across the room while you stand on the pressure plate. It might take a few shots to get it right, but just remember to account for arrow fall-off when aiming.
Getting Back Up and Finishing the Puzzle
After you shoot that panel, look for a grapple point directly above you. Grapple onto it to get back up to the upper part of the hall.
Then, turn around to face southwest and look down. You should spot another panel you can shoot from here.
Next up, use the pillars and large chains nearby to get to the eastern side of the hall.
Then, use the grappling points to cross the gaps while going to the southern end of the hall.
This will let you shoot the final panel, which is somewhat hidden on the topmost part of the southern wall. For reference, it’s directly above the Ouroboros Temple’s entrance.
That was the last panel you needed to activate, so all that’s left is for you to go to the door on the northern end of the temple. It will now open, revealing a massive room with a golden chest in the middle. Open the chest to finally obtain the Bow of the Serpent!
