One of the many achievements in Death Must Die requires you to find and beat a special chatty skeleton a total of 33 times.
This skeleton appears a few times every run at set times, so he’s not too hard to find if you know where to look. He’s also not too strong, so he’s not hard to beat either!
In this guide, we’ll help you shut up the chatty skeleton to get The Sign of the Helper.
How To Find And Defeat The Chatty Skeleton 33 Times
The so-called “chatty” skeleton is an obnoxious archer skeleton that appears every run around when the timer hits 1:30 and then respawns once at around 19:00.
He’ll respawn multiple times if you kill him quickly at 19:00, too! This usually allows you to get about 5 kills total per run.
Indeed, you only get to encounter him a couple times each run and the second chance relies on you being strong enough to survive 19 whole minutes!
Most importantly, you’ll need to do all of your runs as Merris when killing the chatty skeleton. The game will only track her kills for you to get The Sign of the Helper achievement.
The Sign of the Helper is also one of the selectable signs for Merris. Choosing it grants Merris +66% attack damage and also makes her attacks home in on enemies.
So, you basically just need to survive long enough for the chatty skeleton to appear. You’ll easily spot him by the fact that talks often, and he also has a crown marking him as an elite enemy.
Additionally, it seems that the chatty skeleton will always spawn as an archer skeleton specifically, as he’s a bit of a coward.
Defeating him is easy as well, he’s just a regular skeleton archer with a lot of HP. The only annoying thing is that he has a tendency to try to run away from you, but he stops running once he has enough distance to shoot arrows at you.
At the bare minimum, it will take you around 7 runs to get The Sign of the Helper if you kill him at 1:30 and multiple times at 19:00. Otherwise, it can take up to 33 runs!
Nonetheless, that’s everything there is to know about this obnoxious chatty skeleton!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
