The Borderlands franchise loves its quirky missions. Guac is Extra and finding Dave the Burrito, may be one of the oddest as you aren’t fighting bosses or farming for loot. You are simply trying to find burritos scoured across the map like it’s 3am on a Friday night.
In order to find Dave the Burrito and unlock the Guac is Extra achievement in Borderlands 4, you have to find and shoot 15 burritos that are hidden around Dominion City, 5 per district. They are not marked on the map and can be tricky to spot. If you’re having trouble, no worries, there are plenty of Vault hunters just like you. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find all 15 burritos and efficiently unlock the achievement.
What to Know Before you Start
Requirements:
- Unlock Dominion City in Main Mission 17: The Falling Wall
- Unlock the Fades District after Main Mission 18: Means of Ascent
- Unlock Upper Dominion after Main Mission 20: The Timekeeper’s Order
A couple tips to keep in mind:
- There is no built-in tracker for these, so you’ll have to remember which burritos you have already found.
- If you go to an area and a burrito isn’t where it should be, you’ve already destroyed that burrito and they do not respawn.
- These burritos aren’t missable. Meaning, you can go back at any time and get them. So no worries if you want to focus on the story, and go back at a later time.
- You have to shoot each burrito to destroy it. If you no longer see the burrito, you have successfully eliminated it.
How to Unlock the “Guac is Extra” Achievement
Carcadia District
Burrito #1
Hidden behind a stall, you will find this burrito. It’s behind a Propaganda Speaker and ECHO Log collectible on the map. If you go to the upstairs area, you will see two characters arguing in front of the stall where a neon green light hangs. If you to the left of the stall and look behind it, you will see it. Make sure to destroy it before moving on.

Burrito #2
This burrito is found on the house in acidic water. Approaching from where the yellow acidic water is, if you look up, there is a small alcove with boxes on it. If you see a metal pipe sticking out of the ground, you are in the correct area. You will then jump on top of the pipe and jump up to where the boxes are. The burrito is sitting on the corner of one of the boxes.

Burrito #3
This one is hard to spot. Underneath the main city, where the yellow acidic water is, there is a Kratch nest. You can reach it a couple of different ways, but the main one is going to the bottom of the area and then jumping to the metal platform in front of the nest. The burrito is sticking out of one of the hole-ish bumps lined with green. Standing on the platform and looking straight at the hive, you will see it.
Who doesn’t want their burrito with a little extra Kratch slime?

Burrito #4
A little easier to get to, this burrito is on the front roof of the Mosmellow Retreat house, which is easily marked and pinned on your map. Jump up onto the right side of the roof. You will see a rectangular piece of metal hanging off the wall above the roof, about eye level. The burrito is sitting on top of this piece.

Burrito #5
This burrito is at the North edge of the Carcadia District, right next to an ECHO log (visible on your map). It is lying behind a bench on the floor (gross). You start by going up a climbable wall, jumping from one wall to another, and then grappling up the rest of the way.
You’ll make a right and pass by some lockers, just stay right until a door automatically opens. The room is lined with red lights on the ground. All the way at the end of the room, you will see a toilet, an echo log , and three burritos. But before that, there is a bench to the right where you will find the burrito on the ground, where I’m sure it was stored safely to consume.

Terminus District
Burrito #6
Probably one of the more obvious ones is after fast traveling to the Food Court safehouse. Once you spawn, turn to your right, and you will see a pile of rubble that allows you to jump from it to a ledge where yellow/orange paint has spilled.
After getting on the ledge, walk right until you see a small kitchen, there is a huge neon sign above it. Go to the kitchen and turn to your right. On the counter is a burrito.

Burrito #7
In a building, you will see a stand with some neon red shapes on it. Go to the left of this, towards the blue light. There are two tapestries hanging above the area with some blue squares on them.
Walking into that area, on the right of the room, you will see a bed on the floor. Behind that, there is a toilet inside some metal siding. The burrito is sitting on top of the toilet. Delicious.

Burrito #8
At the center of the Terminus District, there is a laundromat shop marked by a neon sign reading “24h Get the Funk Out.” You will see three washers at the front of the shop, walk towards them. At the leftmost washer, you will see a burrito sitting on the corner of the bottom of it. At least it’s clean.

Burrito #9
Moving a bit more south, fast travel to the Frantic Scrawl location. From there, turn right and head up down a tunnel. Go up the steps and turn left. You will see on your right what looks like a little hotdog stand.
In the back left of the room, there is a small kitchen. Without even walking all the way into it, you will see a shelf on the back wall that has a box and some cans on it. There is a burrito also sitting on this shelf.

Burrito #10
And now, south of the fast travel location of the Frantic Scrawl, there is a market named Mr. Cucur Bils. There are very noticeable pumpkins at this stall. If you are looking at the sign, it is the stall that is furthest right, housing one pumpkin. On the back right leg of the stall, there is a burrito. You have to go to the back of the stall to reach and destroy this one.

Fades District
(You’re getting closer to greatness)
Burrito #11
For this burrito, fast travel to Zadra’s Lab. This is the Northwest area of the district. After fast traveling, go into the open area and look behind a staircase that should be right in front of you. There is a stack of boxes there where the burrito will be spawned. If you are still having trouble, there is a Vault Hunter’s Guide to Kairos collectible pinned on your map that is right above where the burrito should be.

Burrito #12
Definitely the most unusual spot (or usual, since this is a Borderlands game), you will be a bit more east and entering into the swamp area, where there is an entrance to a ripper camp. You will noticeably see a corpse hanging on the wooden entrance. In the hand that is tied up by string, you will see the burrito.
Clutching the burrito even in death? Mad respect.

Burrito #13
Looking at your map, this will be in the middle and top part of the district. This is north of the swamp. There is an area where you can walk on wooden planks around the buildings. It helps that there is an ECHO Log near the burrito that you can mark on your map.
At the ECHO Log, look east where you will find a smaller building with vines and greenery around and on it. There are some wooden boxes on the side and a red umbrella with a chair on its left. There is a wooden pallet leaning against the left side of the building. Look in between the two, and there you will find the burrito.

Burrito #14
Moving south, you will also find this burrito next to an ECHO Log. Mark this on your map and follow it. Just left of the Echo Log, there is a raised flower bed with a tree growing out of it. This one is pretty hard to see, but if you look at where the light is on the stone, the burrito is under the greenery, and adjacent to the light.

Burrito #15
To the far east of the region, and beside a Propaganda Speaker marker, you will go to the roof of a building with a swimming pool. There is a mural there, people talking and bodies floating in the pool. You will see a wooden, rectangular box with a boom box sitting on top of it. Look behind the boom box and you will find the last burrito.

Dave the Burrito
Only after shooting all 15 burritos will the door to Dave the Burrito open. This location is unlocked during Main Mission 20: The Timekeeper’s Order. You can get there by fast traveling to the yellow Upper Dominion marker, which is smack dab in the middle of the city.
Mark the Vault Symbol in Upper Dominion ,and you follow that path. There will be a waterfall you must glide through. You will turn to the right, and that is where you will find Dave the Burrito in all its glory. After running around to 15 different locations, there is Dave. That’s it. No fight and no legendary loot. The achievement is unlocked by just going near the burrito.

And you have now successfully eaten all 15 burritos and found the Holy Grail. It’s a comedic mission and a good way to break up all of the looting and shooting you’ve been so hard at work doing. And now, you are one step closer to unlocking all of the hidden little easter eggs in Borderlands 4.
