The Parlor room puzzle is one of the most unique in Blue Prince, as it has a randomized solution each time you draft the room.
Unlike puzzles with set solutions, the Parlor forces you to pay attention to its clues each time. You’ll need to carefully think things through and pay close attention to the clues you get if you wish to solve it. Do it right, though, and you’ll get 2 Gems for your efforts!
Read on and we’ll give you tips and an explanation of how this puzzle works so that you can deduce the right answer.
How to Figure Out the Solution for the Parlor Puzzle Room | Blue Prince
As we mentioned before, there’s no set solution for the Parlor room puzzle in Blue Prince. The puzzle itself is randomized each time you draft the room, so there are no set answers here! That does make it a bit of a gamble each time, however.
With that said, however, there are some hard rules that you can read from one of the notes in the room. They are as follows:
At least 1 box will always say the truth.
At least 1 box will always tell a lie.
Only 1 box has Gems, the others are empty.
With that in mind, your first goal is to use the process of elimination. Look at the boxes and read the labels on them. Try to determine which ones are the obvious liars and which ones are obviously telling the truth. For example, a white box that says it’s the black box would be an obvious liar.
Using this process of elimination and keeping the rules in mind, you should be able to figure out which box holds the Gems. Sadly, though, that’s about all we can tell you The randomized solution means that this puzzle forces you to fully engage with it each time. Pay attention to the boxes’ hints and choose which box to open carefully.
Once you’ve made your choice, remember to pick up the Wind-Up Key from the Parlor room’s desk. Use it on the box you want to open to claim your reward… if you choose right!
Nonetheless, that’s our explanation for the Parlor puzzle in Blue Prince, we hope it helps you figure out the solution each time. With that said, we can also help you with the Observatory room. Check out our guide on how to set up the telescope for more details.
