The Mangler Helmet is one of the three Cursed Relics hidden in Paradox Junction in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It also happens to be the hardest Relic of the set.

Unlike the Rocket or Summong Key Relics, this one requires you to survive for quite a long time to be able to even attempt its trial. You also need to complete several hidden steps involving Mister Peeks.

Needless to say, the trial itself is also no joke, essentially turning you into a glass cannon for 6 waves! If you’re ready to take on this challenge, this guide is for you.

How to Unlock the Mangler Helmet Relic in the Paradox Junction Map in Black Ops 7 Zombies

The Mangler Helmet Relic is the hardest of the Paradox Junction Relics to unlock. You’ll need to be on Tier 2 or higher in Cursed Mode, and you’ll also need to reach round 60 as part of the process.

Also, avoid using the Mister Peeks augment that grants free Mystery Box spins. Since Season 3 Reloaded, players have reported that it can interfere with the relic progression and stop the dolls from spawning correctly.

Now, the first step can be done in any round and you can start in either version of Nuketown. You’ll just need to have the Mister Peeks Field Upgrade.

Start by using the Mystery Box until you manage to get Mister Peeks, which is the blue stuffed rabbit plushie. When he appears, use the Mister Peeks Field Upgrade to be able to pick him up from the floor.

Once you’ve done that, go to the other version of Nuketown. So, go to the past if you’re in the future and vice versa. Then, use the Mystery Box to get Mister Peeks and pick him up a second time.

When you’ve obtained Mister Peeks in both Nuketowns, Place Mister Peeks on the Yellow House’s mailbox in both versions of Nuketown.

Now that both Mister Peeks are in place, you just need to survive until round 60. At that point, the Yellow House’s mailbox will open in one of the Nuketowns. Approach it and collect the Ultra Rarity Knife within.

As soon as you grab the knife, a Red-Mouth Shock Mimic HVT will spawn. You’ll have to kill it using the knife! Feel free to use a Pack-a-Punch to make this step easier.

As soon as you manage to kill the Mimic, the trial portal will spawn somewhere. It’s now time to take that trial!

How to Start and Complete the Mangler Helmet Relic Trial

Now, you’ll need to go to the Future Nuketown and look at the balcony of the Green House. You’ll see the red portal to start the trial there, interact with it when you’re ready.

This trial is a pretty tough one, not gonna lie to you here. The trial disables your armor and reduces your max health by 50. You’re effectively made out of glass now! On the upside, you have no time or weapon limitations.

However, as long as you prepare properly beforehand, you should be able to take on the challenge comfortably.

Nowadays, the meta setup includes Aether Shroud for emergency escapes, Kazimirs for crowd control, War Machine or Disciple Injector for HVT waves, and fully upgraded Sundergat for fast elite kills.

The trial itself consists of multiple enemy waves that feature aggressive sprinters, Mimics, Toxic Zombies, and several HVT enemies.

You can use Juggernogs, particularly with the Iron Core Augment, to make up for your lost health. It’s also a good idea to bring Salvage to purchase anything you need. Manage to survive all 6 waves of enemies in the Relic Trial, and you’ll unlock the Mangler Helmet Relic.

When activated, it disables the Arsenal Machine.

Is the Mangler Helmet Relic Worth Using?

In my opinion, not that much if you’re doing casual runs.

After all, disabling the Arsenal machine is a very harsh downside, especially now that ammo mod swapping has become much more important in higher-tier Cursed runs.

However, if you want to attempt challenge runs, Dark Ops progress, or full relic clears, it’s still one of the most satisfying relics to unlock in Paradox Junction. It’s quite a tough one, but that’s all you need to do to unlock the Mangler Helmet Relic in the Paradox Junction map of Black Ops 7.
