Black Ops 6 Zombies – How to Get the Ray Gun Mark 2 in Shattered Veil | Call of Duty

The new Shattered Veil map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies has a little easter egg that lets you get the Ray Gun Mark 2 for free.

Of course, “free” doesn’t mean there’s no effort involved. You’ll need to find a very well-hidden code and a key item. Neither of these is easy to get if you don’t know where to look. Plus, you also need to know where to use them!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to get the Ray Gun Mark 2 on this map.

How to Get the Ray Gun Mark 2 in Shattered Veil | Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies

Hunt the Lab Technician

The first thing you need to do to get the Ray Gun Mark 2 is to find and kill the special Lab Technician zombie. It seems to wander around chasing players, but it’s most commonly seen spawning in the Mainframe Chamber.

This zombie spawns in the underground laboratory area after Round 10. Aside from the unique name, this zombie also has purple eyes to set it apart from others.

Once you eliminate the Lab Technician, notice that he dropped a Floppy Disk item. Pick up the Floppy Disk and you’re done with the first step!

Get the Code Word

Next up, you need to leave the laboratory and go back upstairs. Make your way to the East Foyer area marked on the map above.

You’ll find a desk there with a bunch of monitors, computers, and other equipment. Interact with the Fax Machine there to use the Floppy Disk. It will start printing out something, but zombies and other creatures will also spawn to attack you. Deal with them while you wait for the Fax Machine to finish.

When the Fax Machine is done printing, approach it and read the paper. Note that there will be a key 4-letter word that’s in all caps on the paper. Which word you get is random, but you can see the word is “CRAB” in the example above. Make a note of that word.

Turn the Code Word into Numbers

Now that you have the code word, head to the Nursery. It’s west of the East Foyer area.

Once in the Nursery, look for a blackboard with a bunch of scrambled letters on it. You need to find each letter of the code word and count how many letters they are grouped with. If two of your code word’s letters are in the same group, that just means they translate to the same number.

For example, as you can see above, the “C” in CRAB is in a group with 7 letters. Using that logic we can decude that C is 7, R is 8, A is 5, and B is 7. That translates the code word CRAB to 7857.

Do note that both the code word and the letters are randomized each time you play the game. Even if you get the same word multiple times, it’s very likely that the letters will be scrambled differently. So, the code is unique each time!

Either way, use the blackboard to translate your code word to numbers and make a note of it.

An Arm Always Comes in Handy

Now that you know your code, head back down to the laboratory and find the locked room with the Doppelghast. It’s in the Service Tunnel area, right across the Mainframe Chamber.

Interact with the panel by the locked door and input the numeric code you got with the previous steps. The door with open, freeing the unique Doppelghast within. Take it out, as well as any other zombies that attack you!

Once the Doppelghast is dead for good, look at where it died. You should notice that it dropped a Severed Arm item. Pick it up and you’re done with this step.

We’re getting pretty close to picking up the Ray Gun Mark 2 in the Shattered Veil map for Black Ops 6 Zombies, now! Just a bit more left.

With the Severed Arm in your possession, continue southwest to the end of the Service Tunnel area within the laboratory. You’ll find the Supply Depot there.

Once you get there, look for the armory’s entrance. It’ll have a Project Janus logo on the door to make it stand out, as shown above.

As soon as you enter the armory, you should notice the Ray Gun Mark 2 sitting behind a glass display on the opposite end of the room. It’ll be right in front of you, taunting you… but not for long! Approach the panel next to the display and interact with it.

When you do, your character will use Severed Arm on the panel. This will make the glass slide down on the display, letting you finally access the Ray Gun Mark 2. At long last, it’s all yours!

So, there you have it. That’s how to get the Ray Gun Mark 2 in the new Shattered Veil map in Black Ops 6 Zombies. If you wish, you can upgrade this gun at any of the Pack-a-Punch machines on the map, too. It also might randomly appear in Mystery Boxes, as well, but it’s pretty rare.
