Explore The Tomb carefully in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies and you can find various parts to build the Staff of Ice.

This staff doubles as both a Wonder Weapon and part of the main easter egg on the map. Fittingly, finding all of its parts and building it is no easy feat! You’ll have to deal with the hordes of monsters while hunting some fairly tricky secrets, as usual for this game mode.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find all the parts required to build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies.

How to Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb | Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies

Part 1 – Monocle

Shock Mimic | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

The first part you need to build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb is one of the easiest pieces to get in all of Black Ops 6 Zombies. You just need to survive until Wave 8, when a Shock Mimic will spawn for the first time. Kill this Shock Mimic and it will drop the Monocle.

All that’s left for you to do is to pick up the Monocle, it’s as easy as that!

Part 2 – Staff

Bull Mural | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

Now, this is where things get a bit trickier. You need to go to the mural of a bull on the northwestern part of The Tomb. It’s close to the Roman Mausoleum and Shrine of the Hierophants locations. We’ve marked it on the map above for you.

Aether Lantern

Once you get to the bull mural, you need to look for purple Aether fire lanterns on the nearby walls. Shoot them to make the purple flame move to another lantern.

Your goal is to get the Aether fire to move onto the lantern on the opposite wall of the bull mural. You’ll need to have a bit of patience and keep shooting the lit lanterns until this happens, though. Which lantern gets lit seems to be random.

When you finally light up the lantern in front of the bull mural, you’ll notice that some symbols appear over the drawing of the bull. These symbols might look odd, but they’re actually just Roman numerals. To solve this puzzle, shoot the symbols in order from 1 to 8. Use the image above as a reference for what the Roman numerals look like. However, keep in mind that the exact position of the symbols is randomized each time! Also, pay especially close attention to 7 and 8, as they can look pretty similar at a quick glance.

If you hit the wrong symbol by accident, just shoot it again to turn it off and then shoot the right one.

Purple Orb

A purple orb will appear when you light up all of the symbols in the right order. Follow this orb, but be warned that it will summon enemies along the way.

Fend off the enemies and the orb will return to the bull mural, spawning the Staff piece. Pick it up and you’re all done here! Time to move on to the next part.

Part 3 – Head Piece

Hunter Mural | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

Next up, you have to go to the southwestern part of The Tomb, in the spot marked on the map above. You will find the hunter mural there, close to the Deadshot Daiquiri.

Aether Lantern 2

The process now is similar to what you did with the bull mural. Shoot the purple Aether fire lanterns in the area until you manage to light up the one near the hunter mural.

Hunter Mural Glyphs

Just like before, the hunter mural will now have a bunch of glowing glyphs. These are also Roman numerals and you also have to shoot them in order from 1 to 10. Use the screenshot above as a reference for what each symbol looks like. However, just like with the bull mural, keep in mind that the exact spots of the symbols is randomized each time.

Purple Orb 2

A purple orb will appear when you light up all symbols, just like it did with the bull mural before. Follow it around the area while killing the enemies it spawns and it will eventually return to the hunter mural.

Head Piece | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

At long last, the purple orb will dissipate and spawn the Head Piece item. That’s the last item you needed for the Staff of Ice, so it’s now time to go craft it!

Crafting Structure | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

Now that you have all 3 parts, you need to return to the Dark Aether Nexus zone to build the Staff of Ice. Go right to the middle of the Dark Aether Nexus and look for the C-shaped stone structure by the Pack-a-Punch.

Pieces Placed

First, get ready for a fight. You’re about to deal with hordes of foes! Then, interact with the hole in the middle of the stone structure and you’ll automatically place all parts of the Staff of Ice.

SURVIVE!

You’ll receive a transmission from Archibald once you place the Staff of Ice parts on the structure. It will now start automatically crafting the staff, but hordes of enemies will appear to try to stop it. We really do mean hordes, this part can be quite challenging compared to all the previous steps! Nonetheless, you can track the crafting progress on the left side of the screen.

Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon Ready! | Black Ops 6 Zombies - Build the Staff of Ice in The Tomb

Survive until the crafting bar reaches 100%. The structure will finally build the Staff of Ice Wonder Weapon for you, completing this part of the main easter egg in The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies! All that’s left is for you to pick up your new weapon.

The next step for The Tomb’s easter egg requires you to upgrade this staff. To know how to do that, check out our guide on how to upgrade the Staff of Ice into Ull’s Arrow.
