16 articlesAs you venture through the lands of Niflheim, you will come across chests that will contain some cool loots inside. One particular type of chest you can find is the magic chest. Unlike normal chests, this type of chest will have a specific requirement before you can open it.
A good example is the Nidheim magic chest which you can find sitting on top of a platform that looks like an altar. As you approach it, you’ll notice that it’s unlocked and won’t open normally. If you don’t know how to unlock it, this guide is for you.
How to Unlock Nidheim Magic Chest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Forgotten Saga
In order to unlock the Nidheim magic chest, you have to jump from the ledge that’s directly on top of it. While this might sound easy, it’s the trip up to the top that’s a bit challenging. To start, simply head straight to the back of the chest and climb up using the small cart.
Then, climb up the rock formation, and you should be able to see a ladder in front of you. To climb this ladder, you need to go down the rock formation and look for a wooden board. Destroy that wooden board to reveal a stone column that you can move. Move it to the bottom of the ladder and use it as the platform to climb up.

Parkour your way to the next wooden platform until you see yet another wooden board. Destroy it to reveal a ring that you can use to climb up. Climb up until you reach a point where you can drop down to the next wooden platform.
On the next wooden platform, you’ll find a lift that you can use to take yourself to the top. After arriving at the next platform, this time, instead of jumping to the other platform on the right, hang down instead. Then, jump to the left where the stone engraving is carved. After that, simply climb your way to the top.
You’ll then reach the ledge where all you need to do is have a leap of faith. You will then land on the haystack at the bottom, and after that, simply go down and open the chest to receive your reward.
