Through the Haze is the sixth quest in the Broken Lands series under Chapter 1 – Process 1 of Arknights: Endfield, located in Valley Pass. If you hit the “Through the Haze” mission, you know it can get a little confusing trying to figure out exactly how to destroy the small dent stacks. Don’t worry, I’ve been there, wandering around trying to figure out which crate has the explosives and where that path even leads. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the mission step by step, sprinkle in a few tips, and make sure you don’t get stuck trying to blow up barrels while the enemies keep respawning.
Also, if you’re tired of grinding endlessly for resources, you’ll want to read How to Set Up Auto Mining Ore Farms & Crafting in Arknights Endfield. Automating your AIC lets you passively gather ores and craft materials, making it way easier to gear up your Operators without spending every minute farming.
Return to the Shelter
First things first, head back to the secret shelter to talk to Karja and Daniel. They’ll ask you to find Mark, which means entering the ventilation shaft to proceed. Trust me, the shaft is more fun than it sounds, especially when you get to blow up some rocks and carve a path forward.
Hidden Objects: Keep Your Eyes Peeled
Throughout the mission, keep an eye out for hidden items. They can be tucked away behind walls or slightly off the main path. While I haven’t found all 14 yet, collecting the ones you can see is a great way to give your characters a boost. A full walkthrough of all hidden objects will be coming once I locate them all, but for now, grabbing the obvious ones will still give you an edge.
Progress Down the Ventilation Shaft
Make your way through the shaft, using explosives nearby to blast rocks out of your way. It’s pretty straightforward, but keep an eye out, you don’t want to miss anything important hidden along the way.
Investigate the Nearby Area

Once you’re out of the shaft, you’ll notice two key points to investigate: a dead Landbreaker and some scraping marks. Check both spots carefully, then head up the nearby ramp. As you exit, you’ll hear Nefarith’s voice echoing, it’s a neat little touch that adds atmosphere and keeps you alert for the next wave of enemies.
Head to the Small Denstack Closest to You
Drop down the stairs by the teleport point and take out the Landbreakers below. Move carefully around the building, climb a flight of stairs, and get ready for your first explosive encounter.
When you first enter the area, your main priority is taking out all the enemies. It’s pretty straightforward, but the confusion usually starts right after. Once you clear the initial waves, you’ll notice a path leading out in a specific direction. Don’t just rush forward, there’s a small objective you need to handle first.
Destroy the First Small Denstack
Here’s where it gets a bit tricky. The first small denstack is guarded by Landbreakers, so clear them out first. Inside the building, grab the explosives and chuck them at the denstack to take it out. Easy, right? Well, it’s satisfying too, which makes the minor chaos worth it.
The first dent stack won’t blow up on its own, and you’ll need explosives to take it out. If you missed it at first, no worries, you can backtrack a little to find the crate. Once you’ve grabbed the explosives, just throw them at the stack, and boom! First one down.
Destroy the Second Denstack
Continue along the narrow path past the first denstack, climb another set of stairs, and prepare for the next wave of Landbreakers. Head down the stairs to a new small denstack, grab explosives, and repeat the process. It’s a little repetitive, but the sense of progress is real, especially when things go boom.
The second stack is essentially the same deal as the first. After clearing the enemies nearby, you’ll need to locate the crate with explosives. There are a few staircases and grapples leading up to it, so take a moment to explore the terrain. Grab the explosives and destroy the stack just like before. Once it’s gone, the mission objective will be complete, and you can proceed without any headaches.
Destroy the Third Denstack
With the second one done, go back to your previous route, climb up using the rope, and turn right toward a Landbreaker near an explosive tank. Grab the explosives and throw them at the third denstack across the building. Watching that stack go down is extremely satisfying, don’t pretend otherwise.
Save the Person in the Cage
As you continue through the mission, you’ll hit a small checkpoint halfway through. This one’s all about saving someone trapped in a cage. Take out the enemies around the area and hit the button to release them. Nothing too crazy here, but always keep an eye on hidden objects around the map, they’re easy to miss. In fact, there are 14 scattered throughout, and I’ve managed to find about five so far. Collecting these can be a nice way to level up your characters later on.
Use the rope to get back down to ground level, jump over a broken platform, and follow the road. You’ll find a person calling for help to your left. Take out the Landbreakers and hit the control to lower the cage. Rescue mission complete.
Reach the Valley Fort
Finally, as the smoke clears, you’ll hear Nefarith again. Jump down from the building, sprint to the main road, and boom, you’ve completed the mission. Mission accomplished, denstacks destroyed, Landbreakers defeated, and a person saved. All in a day’s work.
Wrap-Up
Through the Haze isn’t just about blasting things for fun (though that’s a big part of it). It’s about following paths, investigating your surroundings, and keeping an eye out for hidden objects that can help level up your characters. Whether you’re a seasoned Arknights player or just cruising through Chapter 1, this guide should make taking down denstacks a breeze. Remember, sometimes the best part of a mission is just watching things explode, so enjoy it.
