Before we start, let us give you a quick tip on how to take screenshots in case you don’t know.
Screenshots can be taken on Windows by pressing the Print Screen button at any time while playing. On Mac systems, you just need to press the F13 key.
Now, let’s move on to how to find these screenshots you just took.
World of Warcraft stores its screenshots in a folder aptly named “Screenshots”, next to the game’s main executable.
You can find it at the following address in the game’s installation directory: \World of Warcraft\_retail_\Screenshots
By default, the full address is as follows:
Windows PC – C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Screenshots
Mac PC – Library\Application Support\Blizzard\Warcraft\_retail_\Screenshots
If you manually changed the game’s installation directory yourself, the address will be different.
Nonetheless, the screenshots folder will always be inside the game’s installation folder, so it should be pretty easy to find.
Once you locate the folder, you should see all of the screenshots you have ever taken while playing! The file names are things like “WoWScrnShot_092411_230556”.
The numbers in the name are a timestamp in the format of Month-Day-Year and Hours-Minute-Seconds.
For example, the filename above shows that the image was taken on the 24th of September 2011 at 23:05:56.
There you have it! That’s everything you need to know about WoW screenshots. You can now share your treasured memories in the game anytime, or just look at the images and reminisce.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
