Your base in Once Human is going to be the HUB for pretty much everything you do. The game gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to building your base. You can build it however you like and give it your own personal touch.

That being said, Once Human only allows you to have one base at a time. So, if you don’t like the location of your base anymore, you will need to move your current base to the new location. We will be looking at how you can do that in Once Human.

How to Move Your Base

You can move your base in Once Human using the Move Territory command. On PC, the default key for this is “Z” on the keyboard. The Move Territory command can only be used in building mode.

Other than having a base that you can move, you need to make sure that the area you are moving the base to is big enough. You won’t be able to move your base if the new area is smaller than your old one.

When moving your base, there’s also a chance that some secondary structures or buildings might not move with you to the new location. For example, structures that require a water body will not be there in the new area if there is no water body there.

Ideal Base Location

You can see blueprints for your base when you are moving it.

You will ideally want your base to be in a big and flat area that is close to other areas of interest. When starting out, a lot of people tend to not care about the location where they are building their base. Being able to move bases is a lifesaver in this scenario as you do not have to start over in a new location.

Other than that, you will also want to move your base later on in the game to get close to higher-level areas. Having a base close to areas you are roaming around in will end up saving you a ton of time.

A game like Once Human will require you to constantly move your base, as your areas of interest will constantly change. Fortunately, the game allows you to move your base as many times as you like, making your life much easier.
