It can be hard to decide which Life Skill is the most important to prioritize in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
There are quite a lot of them, but your time and resources are pretty limited. You can’t simply do everything, at least not efficiently. Yet, it’s almost impossible to tell at a glance what’s useful and what isn’t…
Thankfully, you have us here to help! In this quick guide, we’ll tell you which Life Skills are the most important and useful to pick.
Most Important Life Skill to Prioritize | Blue Protocol: Star Resonance

Overall, there are two Life Skills you’ll want to prioritize no matter what: Mineralogy and Smelting.

Mineralogy is the Life Skill that you use for gathering minerals and metals. You’ll want to max this one out so that you can collect every single type of ore efficiently.

Smelting, on the other hand, will be used to refine the ores you get through Mineralogy. It allows you to make important materials, such as Mystery Metals and Mech Shards. You’ll also want to max this one out!
Together, these two Life Skills are the most important. They work in tandem to get you a lot of important materials that you will need for your gear progression in this game. Especially once you start using more advanced systems, like Refinement.
It’s also worth noting that you should definitely focus on Mineralogy first. Get its gathering Talents before you get Smelting’s crafting Talents. After all, you can’t craft if you can’t gather the materials!
Additionally, as you level up these Life Skills, make sure to focus on Mining Yielding and Lucky Smelting Talents as soon as possible. They will allow you to get more materials, so they’re a must-have.
So, in short, focus on the combination of Mineralogy and Smelting as soon as possible. Hoard these ores and metals, since you’ll need them for various upgrades.
Gemology and Gemcrafting Are Also Good Later On

As you get deeper into the game and reach the endgame, you’ll want to expand your Life Skill repertoire a bit. It’s time to start learning Gemology and Gemcrafting!
Gemology is similar to Mineralogy. It’s a Life Skill that allows you to gather gem ores, just like the metal ores from before.

Gemcrafting, then, is similar to Smelting. You’ll use this Life Skill to refine the raw gem ores into proper gems. You can then use these gems to Embed them into your gear, giving them a stat boost.
Now, an important thing to consider here is that you don’t need to learn these Life Skills fully. You only really need to learn the Talents related to the gems you need.
Every single gem is tied to a specific Attribute. So, you only need to focus on the gems tied to Attributes that your class prioritizes!
To make things simpler for you, here’s a quick list of which gem is tied to which Attribute:
- Emerald – Mastery.
- Sapphire – Haste.
- Ruby – Crit.
- Topaz – Luck.

In addition, certain Gemcrafting Talents allow you to add an extra Attribute to gems you make, such as Agility. Again, it’s recommended to pick the Talents that match the Attributes required for your class of choice.
Lastly, we once again recommend getting the Gem Yielding Talents as fast as possible here. You’ll have a chance for extra gems when gathering and crafting them, which is always welcome.
So, that’s it, you now know what Life Skill is most important to prioritize in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. Or rather, which Life Skills, plural!
