Scout Class – Best Presets

The Scout Class in Escape From Tarkov: Arena is often referred to as the 50/50 class. This means that this particular class is high-risk and high-reward. It can easily punish your mistakes, or it may greatly reward your heroism.

When choosing this class, keep in mind that you are equipped with armor-piercing SMGs but are also equipped with much lighter body armor incapable of protecting you against as much firepower.

Vityaz

The Vityaz preset comes with a PP-19-01 SMG accompanied by PST ammo. This armor-piercing SMG can do a lot of damage, however low body protection makes you especially vulnerable to enemy fire.

Even so, this is a great starting preset that will earn you some kills.

Sawbones

One of the higher ranked presets in the game, Sawbones comes with the AK-102 SMG with M856A1 ammunition capable of dealing significant amounts of damage.

Saboteur

Another preset that comes with a PP-19-01 is the Saboteur. However, in this version, the PP-19 comes with PBP ammunition that has significantly higher penetrating power dealing more damage overall.

EFT: Arena 2

Weaver

This preset comes equipped with the AKS-74U with BS ammo dealing significant amounts of damage. It is good for those who like to run and gun, mowing down enemies with 1-taps to the head.

Additionally, you get a level 4 armor but no helmet, only the ear mufflers.

Cobra

With Cobra, you get the AS VAL  with SP-6 ammunition. This is by far the best gun in this class you can use. Especially in 1v1 situations, the AS VAL is uncontested.

Do note however that the AS VAL overheats easily, potentially making you throw the round if you are in a clutch moment.

Chimera

Finally, the Chimera comes with the AK-104 with MAI-AP ammo. In addition to this, you get a level 4 body armor and helmet. It is a good preset, however, it is overshadowed by the likes of Cobra which is easier to get.
