The survival-crafting action RPG Enshrouded is close to its Early Access release and it features multiplayer modes! But is it purely co-op or is PvP also allowed?
PvP would allow players to steal resources from each other and fight, which can be very thrilling if you love that sort of competition.
In this short article, we’ll look into if PvP will be allowed in Enshrouded or not.
Is There PvP?
According to the FAQ posted on Enshrouded’s official Discord, the game will not have any sort of PvP at all.
We also hate to break it to you if you want PvP, but there are absolutely no plans to ever add PvP officially to the game.
The developers state that this allows them to not have to think about adding systems to deal with griefing, resource theft, defense against other players, and more.
In one way, having to not deal with all these PvP contrivances allows them to focus their time on other features!
As a player, this is also perfect for those who want a more chill gaming experience. You can explore Enshrouded’s world with friends without having to worry about hostile players at all.
What’s more, you won’t have to worry about potential cheaters just griefing you and destroying your buildings or resources.
However, it can definitely be disappointing to players who enjoy competitive gameplay.
But since the game already supports multiplayer, so maybe it will get modding support that will allow modders to add PvP? It wouldn’t be the first time that modders have added entirely new game modes, after all.
With the networking features already in the game, modders would likely bring PvP to Enshrouded eventually!
Either way, PvP is officially not supported in Enshrouded and it most likely never will be. If you want a survival and crafting game with player vs player action, you’ll need to look elsewhere!
