God of War Ragnarok is looking to become the hottest and most popular God of War game to date. The God of War franchise has been a staple of the action-adventure genre. It features the badass God-slayer, Kratos along with a roster of iconic Gods across multiple cultures from Greek to Roman.
In this installment, we’re about to see Atreus and Kratos take on Gods from Norse mythology in an action-packed game coming near us very soon. However, the franchise has been known to only be released to the console. Will this time be different? Will GOW finally be coming to steam and PC?
Is God of War Ragnarok Coming to Steam?
To make things brief, God of War: Ragnarok will be released as a Sony exclusive. This means that it will only be released on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 platforms. So, if you own a Playstation, you can purchase the game as soon as it’s available.
The game was released on November 9, 2022, on PS4 and PS5. For PC players, unfortunately as of now, it’s not going to be available. However, this isn’t likely going to be the case forever most likely.
Based on the previous God of War game, it took them roughly four years until they released the initially Playstation-exclusive game to the PC platform. The previous God of War game can be purchased on Steam and Epic Games.
Does this mean we have to wait four years until PC players can play it? It’s a likely possibility. There’s also hope that it will be released earlier due to its massive success on PC.
But the silver lining of hope here is that regardless of whether it’s months or years, it’s going to be a guarantee that we’re going to see God of War Ragnarok eventually released on PC.
Since we don’t know the initial PC release date we can only speculate. With that said, we don’t expect to see God of War Ragnarok for PC for at least a year after the PlayStation release date.
So PC players remember to just be patient and Playstation users, have at it, and don’t forget to have fun!
