Dragon Ball Sparking Zerocame out not too long ago, but the meta is moving quickly and already has some of the best teams defined for use in Ranked DP Battle mode.
DP Battles are the main competitive game mode in Sparking Zero. The unique twist is that every single character in the game has a DP score assigned to them, and you have a DP limit for your team. You really have to balance the DP costs of the characters you want while also picking out the best fighters for your team!
In this guide, we’ll give you some guidelines for team building as well as some recommended teams you can use to start climbing up the ranks!
Best Teams To Use For Ranked DP Battle | Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Before we dive into our overview of the best general teams to use for ranked battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, we should first explain the DP system in the game a bit more.
As we mentioned before, every character costs a certain amount of DP (Destruction Points) to have on your team. You only get 15 DP to make your team for ranked DP Battles, as well. Under this system, fully transformed characters are the most expensive when it comes to DP. It’s a trade-off for not having to manually transform mid-match.
However, to have more versatile teams, we recommend only using base forms of characters. You can transform during the match itself anyway, and you’ll have a more solid team overall due to the extra DP headroom!
With all that said, let’s now go over some recommended teams to get started with Ranked DP Battles. We’ll also explain the thought process behind these teams so that you can use the general guidelines to make your own teams if you wish.
Yajirobe and the Bruisers
Our first team recommendation is Yajirobe, base Broly (Super), and base Gogeta (Super).
Yajirobe, despite costing a paltry 2 DP to have on your team, is one of the best characters in the game. He can stall matches by eating his Senzu Beans to regenerate health, giving him insane survivability. Plus, you can also use the extra time to get a read on your opponent’s playstyle before using your other characters!
As a backup, Yajirobe has Broly (Super) and Gogeta (Super) who are some of the best characters in the meta right now. Both of them have incredible attack power and speed, making them the kings of the meta when fully transformed.
You just have to play a bit carefully until you transform with Broly or Gogeta, but otherwise, this is an extremely powerful team to win with! Also, we’re not responsible for any hatemail that this team might get you from salty players.
Vegito and Yajirobe Anchors
Our second recommended team is one that where you fill up all the 5 slots in your team with low-cost DP characters while having a pair of strong anchor characters. We’ll have Vegito and Yajirobe as our anchors in this example. In this type of team, you want your first anchor (Vegito) as your 3rd character and your second anchor (Yajirobe) as your 5th.
For example: Master Roshi (Max Power), Saibaman, base Vegito, Guldo, and Yajirobe.
This type of team lets you experiment more by using “weaker” characters you wouldn’t normally use in the meta. You can also use these characters to get a read on your opponent’s playstyle before you bring out the trump cards on the team (Vegito and Yajirobe) as anchors.
If you use this exact team, the other main consideration here is that you have to work toward fully transforming Vegito when he’s your active character. Do that, though, and you’ll have a top-tier lightning bruiser on your hands to shut down foes with.
Lastly, you can pull the usual tricks with Yajirobe when he’s your only remaining character. Use Senzu Beans to keep your health up while dishing out decent damage with your attacks.
Nonetheless, these are our two best recommended teams! You can use them as is to take on Ranked DP Battles in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero or follow the general guidelines we provided for building your own unique team. Either way, we hope this helped you climb up the ranks!
