“Travel distance while airborne with balloons from Birthday Medallions” is one of the new quests for the 7th Birthday celebration event in Fortnite. Also, it’s a ridiculously long quest name!
This quest is simple on paper, but it’s quite tricky in execution. The main issue is that you’ll need to find Birthday Medallions, which are very rare and have random spawns. Find them, though, and you’ll get to fly around using birthday balloons!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to complete this quest in Fortnite.
Travel Distance While Airborne With Balloons From Birthday Medallions
To complete this 7th Birthday quest, you’ll need to first find a Birthday Present as you explore in Fortnite: Battle Royale. The tricky thing here is that these Birthday Presents are completely randomized, so there are no guaranteed spawn locations for them. You’ll need to just play normally while keeping an eye out for these buggers! Use the image above as a reference, as it shows you what they look like.
Once you find one of these sneaky Birthday Presents, pick it up and throw it. This will instantly build a present-shaped cube room wherever you throw the Present. To make things easier, we recommend throwing it at your feet so the room spawns around you.
Either way, get inside the present-shaped room and you should find a large gold Birthday Medallion floating in the air. Pick it up and you’ll instantly get a balloon on your back, with more appearing over time.
You might also find Birthday Medallions randomly on their own, although they’re even rarer than Birthday Presents.
Now all you have to do is jump with the balloon on your back. You’ll float while in the air, slowing down your fall. Travel a total distance of 777 units while floating after jumping and you’ll complete the quest!
That’s all there is to know about the “Travel distance while airborne with balloons from Birthday Medallions” quest in Fortnite… phew, that sure is a mouthful, huh? Anyway, the only tricky part of this quest is finding the Birthday Presents. We wish you the best of luck since they’re quite rare!
