Make use of these valuable Mythic Objects

on

Relics are Mythic objects that you can use to gain several different benefits in Age of Mythology Retold. To utilize the items though, you will need to pick them up, and most units in this game can’t do that.

So to help you with that, we will be looking at what you need to do to pick up Relics in Age of Mythology Retold, and what units you need to use to do so.

How To Pick Up Relics

You can only pick up Relics with Hero units. Units that are not Heroes will not be able to interact with the Relics when they are on the ground.

When controlling a Hero, you can pick up a Relic by simply right-clicking on it. If you do the same with a non-Hero unit, the Unit will just go to the Relic and stand on top of it. Once you have a Relic in your possession, take it to a Temple to make use of it.

Each Temple can only hold 5 Relics at a time. If you want to place more Relics, you will need to construct additional Temples. Also if your Temple gets destroyed, the benefits the Relic is providing will go away. The Relic will still drop next to the place where the Temple was destroyed, so you can simply pick them up and take them to another Temple.

Other Ways to Pick up Relics

All 4 civilizations will need to use Heroes to pick up Relics. The Atlantean civilization has an advantage in this regard as they can turn most of their units into Heroes. Any unit that has the Hero tag next to its name will be able to pick up a Relic.

The Egyptian civilization can also use Egyptian Priests to pick up Relics. To do that though, you will need to research the Hands of the Pharaoh Technology.

So there you have it, a guide on exactly what you need to do to pick up a Relic. There are 50 different Relics in Age of Mythology Retold, and each of them provides its own unique buff.
