Space Marine 2 – All Dataslate Locations Guide | Warhammer 40,000

There are 35 Dataslate locations across Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, both in the main campaign and in Operation Mode.

Picking up the Dataslates will provide you with some lore, adding some extra context to the events of the game’s story. Additionally, collecting all 35 will reward you with the “Data Mining” achievement and trophy!

In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find every single one of these Dataslate locations. Do note that there will be some spoilers, and our order is based on the chronological order of missions and operations in the game.

All Dataslates Locations Guide

Mission: Skyfire

Stormtalon Crash, Kadaku

The very first Dataslate you can find is early in the mission when you have to cross the swamp after the Cadian airstrike. Look for the large plants on the left of the main path, as shown above. Shoot the plants to reveal a side path.

Follow the side path and you’ll see the Dataslate atop a crate by the crashed Stormtalon.

Admission of Desertion

You can get this Dataslate after Lieutenant Titus commands the squad to take a detour. Follow the main path until you reach the other side of the destroyed bridge, then look for the cliff edge near the bridge shown above.

Drop down and go straight forward to find the Dataslate on the ground near a corpse.

Anti-Tyranid Offensive, Kadaku

The third Dataslate is inside the bunker you navigate on the way to the orbital cannons. Follow the main path until you reach a corridor leading toward a spinning fan, as shown above.

Turn to your left while facing the fan then go up the stairs.

You’ll spot a dead body and a Combat Knife in front of you as you reach the top of the stairs. The Dataslate is here as well, near a dead body.

Desired Purgation of Data

The final Dataslate for this mission is inside the base with the orbital cannons. Once you get the objective to Assemble at the elevator on the base, face the elevator as shown above. Go to the right of the elevator, toward the computers.

You’ll find the Dataslate by the body of a Tech Priest.

Mission: Inferno

Amelioration of Improper Ordnance Storage

For this Dataslate, proceed through the main path when you’re tasked with reaching the Astra Militarum Camp. Eventually, you’ll reach the path with a walkway shown above. Go to the right instead of going down the path.

This side path will lead you to a broken-down bunker. Go all the way to the far wall.

Check your left as you go into the bunker to spot the Dataslate.

Admiration of Promethium

You can find the second and final Dataslate in this mission in the Promethium Refinery. Complete the objectives to protect the generators and you’ll be tasked with heading to the Observation Platform. At this point, look for the large flammable storage towers shown above.

Look for a table between towers 1 and 2 to find the Dataslate.

Mission: Severance

Conflict, Adeptus Astartes/Tyranid, Kadaku

As you proceed through the mission, you’ll come across an abandoned campsite on the swamp as you make your way to the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility. Look carefully and you should notice a path going behind the tent, as shown by the arrows in the image above.

Follow the path to reach a broken-down Rhino APC. Do be warned, enemies will appear as you approach the Rhino!

Take out the enemies and check the back part of the Rhino to find the Dataslate.

Tyranid Attack, Designation: Rippers, Kadaku

You can get the second Dataslate for the mission as soon as you reach the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility. Let Nozick open the gate for you and you should spot a barricade near a red light.

Check behind the barricade to spot the Dataslate.

Lamentation for Sacred Machines

To find this Dataslate, first look for the computer console above. It’s in the connector area that takes you to the transmitter, right after you restore power to the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility.

Use the console and you’ll open the door next to the facility. A bunch of Tyranids will emerge, but they shouldn’t be a threat for you. Go through the door and then take the path to the right, shown above.

Reach the end of the tunnels and you’ll see a few corpses by a large fan. The Dataslate is right there, on the ground.

Summary, Tyranid Invasion, Kadaku

Right after leaving the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility, you’ll end up in a cave and be given the Jump Pack. As soon as you enter the cave, look for a ledge above you and to your left.

Use the Jump Pack to reach the ledge and you’ll find the Dataslate on the ground, near a corpse and some crates.

That marks not just the 10th Dataslate in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, but also the last of the Dataslate locations in Kadaku!

Mission: Machinus Divinitus

Attempted Liturgy for Burnt Capacitor

New planet, same old Dataslate hunting. We’re now on our first mission in Avarax, and it’s time to hunt down the first Dataslate here. To start, proceed through the mission as normal until you defend yourself from Tyranids while waiting for the bridge shown in the image above.

Once the bridge extends and allows you to reach the other end, take the path to the left of the building’s entrance and follow it to the end.

When you reach the end of the path, go through the broken handrails on the left.

Turn right once you’re on the rooftop to find a dead Tech Priest and the first Avarax Dataslate.

Termination: 101010-S

This Dataslate is in the maze-like ventilation tunnels under the Adeptus Mechanicus Facility. As soon as you get the objective to reach the Databanks, you should be in the hallway shown above. Take the path to the right.

Keep going straight ahead and up the stairs toward the hallway with candle lights. Turn right once you’re up the stairs.

Take the first left you can after going up the stairs.

Then, take another left when you’re in front of the elevator gate. You’ll find the Dataslate near a dead body by the hallway’s window.

Improper Command

Continue through the mission as normal until you fend off the ambush by the storage containers. At this point, the game will point you toward the corridor shown above. Continue straight forward into the corridor to reach a dead end.

The Dataslate will be by the blocked gate at the end of the corridor.

Mission: Ballistic Engine

Missing Servo-Hauler

To find this Dataslate, continue through the mission until you deal with the sandstorms to reach a facility. As soon as you’re inside the facility, go to your right following the arrow on the image above.

Look for a bloody table near the room’s entrance to find the Dataslate.

War Preparation, Avarax

Right after you drop down to a new area following the wrecked trainyard, go all the way to the back of the area. Reach the blue pillar under the bridge, which is where the arrow points above.

Mission: Servant of the Machine

Cannon Maintenance, 1.002.81

As part of the mission, you’ll ride an elevator high up in a destroyed building. Turn around as soon as you get out and face the elevator. You should notice a path to the right of the elevator.

Follow the path to reach the back of the elevator and you’ll find the Dataslate on the walkway’s floor.

Tithe Collection, Avarax

As soon as you regroup with Chairon, go down the stairs leading to the Temple of Thassean. Follow the arrow in the image above to reach a corner before following the mission’s objective.

The Dataslate will be on top of some rubble in the corner.

Mission: Decapitation

Final Sermon

For the first Dataslate in this mission, go to the balcony on the top left side of the first destroyed chapel you enter as part of the mission. Ignore the collapsed wall that the game points you toward at this point.

Turn left as soon as you enter the balcony to spot the Dataslate near the broken doors.

Bridge Construction, Overseer Commentary

Right after you see the Hive Tyrant entering the tunnels, you’ll be tasked with pursuing it. At this point, you’ll enter a large room with scattered boxes all over the place. Take the exit to your right, as shown above.

The Dataslate is atop a small cabinet at the end of the short tunnel.

Mission: Vox Liberatis

Creation of Daemonhost, I

As soon as you get out of the first elevator in the mission, go forward and to the right to find the sloped path shown above.

When you go down the slope, turn to your left and follow the stairs up.

Take another left after the first flight of stairs.

You’ll find the Dataslate in front of the furthest wall in the room.

Creation of Daemonhost, II

Later in the mission, you’ll take an elevator down to the bottom levels of the Cathedral. You’ll then be facing a hallway with a blue glow, which is where the mission leads you. To find the Dataslate, face the corridor and go to the right.

You’ll find the Dataslate near a staircase.

Do be warned that this is one of the trickier Dataslate locations if you’re playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in higher difficulties. The room gets flooded with enemies, which might make it hard to pick it up easily. Nonetheless, the location itself should be easy to find!

Mission: Voidsong

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2287.8

You’ll need to open a large gate by restoring power to it as part of the mission. Once you reach this point, first take the path to the left before you go upstairs to restore power.

Follow the linear path all the way to the dead end to find the Dataslate on a table.

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2288.2

The second Dataslate in this mission is near the end of the Jump Pack section. You’ll enter a wrecked building with a fire near a Weapon Pod. At this point, look for the ledge marked in the image above.

Use the Jump Pack to reach the ledge and you’ll find the Dataslate on top of a table.

Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2289.5

The last Dataslate for this mission is in the safe zone late in the level, shortly after the previous Dataslate. Reach the room where the soldiers are burning Tyranid remains and turn a right as soon as you enter the room.

Look in the corner adjacent to the stairs to find the Dataslate.

That’s the 24th Dataslate so far if you’ve been following our order by alternating between the main campaign and Operation Mode. It’s also the last of the Dataslate locations in Avarax, and there’s only one planet left to explore in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Mission: Reliquary

Servitor Greeting, Demerium

You can get this Dataslate as soon as you reach the circular room with the green console in the center. Face the console and turn to your left to find a flight of stairs.

Go up the stairs and then go all the way forward to find the Dataslate in the left corner.

Heretic Attack, Demerium

The second and last Dataslate in this mission is the observation tower shown above. You’ll reach it right after your first encounter with the Helldrake.

Enter the tower and then go through the exit on the right.

Turn to the right once again and you’ll spot the Dataslate on the corner of the walkway’s floor.

Mission: Fall of Atreus

Unauthorized Override Attempt

The first Dataslate in this mission is available right after you complete the “Clear The Passage” objective. You’ll end up in a tomb after escorting a dreadnaught. Go to the back of the room, directly opposite of where the game tells you to go.

You’ll find the Dataslate on the ground, near some crates.

Status: Battle Barge, Sword of Atreus

You’ll reach a station where the Sword of Atreus is being repaired when you’re tasked with reaching the Mechanicus Compound. Once you get there, look for the silo shown above and go up 5 ramps.

Right before the 6th ramp, turn to your left to find a storage area full of boxes.

You’ll find the Dataslate on top of a crate in that storage area.

Mission: Dawn’s Descent

Effects of Noctilith Exposure

You’ll need to approach a destroyed cathedral as part of the mission. Once you reach its entrance, go to the left as shown above.

The Dataslate is in the middle of the small graveyard by the cathedral’s entrance.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.6

The second Dataslate in this mission is available right after you watch the Sword of Atreus in action. You’ll be overlooking a large open area with a Space Marine statue in the middle. Look for a path amidst the wreckage on the left, marked by the arrow in the image above.

Just keep following the path until you reach the dead end. The Dataslate will be in front of you and to the right, near a statue.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.7

Eventually, you’ll reach a large set of ruins, shown above. The game will tell you to take the path to the right to call an elevator. Ignore it and go to the left first to find a platform in the dark part of the room.

The Dataslate is on the ground next to a dead body.

Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 9.9

The fourth and final Dataslate in this mission can be found when you’re told to advance to the Aurora. Look for the rightmost part in the large open room, looking for the blue archways as shown above.

Go down the path and you’ll reach a workstation with some broken machines.

The Dataslate will be next to the corpse of a Tech-Priest in front of the computers.

Mission: Sempiternus

Effects of Warp Exposure

Go past the soldiers suffering from Warp exposure and go down into the ruins as part of the objective to seek out the 2nd Company Position. Go to your right once you drop down and follow the pipes on the wall until you see a soldier in a fetal position on the ground.

The Dataslate will be right next to the soldier.

Burial, Adeptus Astartes, Salamander Chapter

You’ll eventually reach a large burial chamber as part of the objective to advance to the Second Force. Ignore the objective telling you to go the right and go straight ahead to the back of the chamber instead.

The Dataslate will be to your left as you go up the stairs, by the wall.

Amount of Deceased on Demerium

The final Dataslate in this mission, and also in the entire game. You can get it when you have to advance to the Obelisk, more specifically as soon as Combat Squad Talasa turns the second Obelisk key. You’ll need to go through the blue archway shown above.

As soon as you cross the archway, turn to your right to find a hidden path behind the rubble.

You’ll see the Dataslate next to a corpse as soon as you’re on the other side of the rubble.
