No Man’s Sky Outlaws recently implemented a new patch. Along with the new updates is the release of two customizable items: The Shroud of Freedom and Flowing Cape. Players are excited to obtain and customize them based on their own preferences.

How to Get Your Cape and Hood in No Man’s Sky Outlaws

The new customizable items that come with the new update sent players into a frenzy. Everyone is excited to have them. While the cape can be easily obtained, the hood is unlocked through a quest. Here are the steps to get your own cape and hood.

Unlocking the Flowing Cape

The Flowing Cape is easily unlocked by heading to an Appearance Modifier. Under the Backpack, you will find a new tab called “Customize Cape”. Here you are able to change the cape’s color. The only current option you have is the Flowing Cape since the Outlaw Cape will be locked and is obtained through the expedition.

Unlocking the Shroud of Freedom (Hood)

You can check our in-depth guide on how to get the new Shroud of Freedom in No Man’s Sky: Outlaws.

But if you want a quick guide, follow this one below:

To get the Shroud of Freedom Hood, you need to do the quest called “Under a Rebel Star”. You can trigger this by pulsing around any normal star until a disruption appears. Accept the coordinates and do the mission’s steps until you get to the part where you have to follow the voice of freedom.

Accept the invitation that will appear and it will give you the Ticket to Freedom, which will guide you to the Outlaw Station. There, talk to a few NPCs until one of them gives you the hood. You can wear it at the Appearance Modifier.
