In Grounded, you are reduced to atomic size and thrown into the wilderness of your backyard, making survivability very difficult without extra help.
Trinkets are special items that can improve your stats or grant you status effects, passive skills, and more.
There are a few that are easy to find but aren’t that useful in the long run. Some are very hard to find and aren’t worth it at all
Knowing which one to use for your playstyle or specific build could change your playthrough completely.
The new 1.3 patch added 6 new trinkets, a rework of an already well-known one, 3 new craftables, and 2 that need to be stolen from enemies.
This tier list will show you which are the best trinkets in Grounded and which ones you should and shouldn’t get in your next playthrough.
Best Trinkets Tier List – Patch 1.3
S-Tier
Giddy Goop
This trinket can be obtained by killing or stealing from Fireflies. When equipped with a 3-combo weapon, the last hit will also fire a goop that deals 25 damage, minus Movement Speed, and minus Attack Speed to any creature it hits.
Weapons or attacks that don’t have combos, such as Daggers, won’t get any of the benefits. Even though it could be hard to get, this trinket debuffs your enemies and deals extra damage, making it one of the best in the game.
A-Tier
Fluffy Dandelion Tuft
Depending on your playstyle, the Fluff Dandelion Tuft can be an amazing trinket. You could get it early by farming Dandelions Tuft and unlike the other Tuft, this one has unlimited uses. This last feature is what makes it so powerful in the game.
Unstable Capacitator
This trinket is in the A tier because it’s very hard to get. You can only get it from TAYZ.T during raids, very late in the game. What makes the farming and the struggle worth it is the 10% chance of triggering an explosion of 30 shock AOE damage, ignoring all damage resistances, with a 15 stun bonus.
B-Tier
Astonishing Acid
This trinket only allows you to make 10% more damage in the 3rd hit of any combo. There are plenty of buffs and trinkets that grant you better abilities in comparison, but this one is craftable, and you could get it very early in the game.
C-Tier
Nifty Needle
You could get this trinket very early in the game because it’s craftable too, and it grants 25% more damage to any bow-charged shot. If you like bows rather than crossbows, this can be a sweet addition.
D-Tier
Sturdy Shell
When equipped, this trinket increases your defenses against friendly fire and self-inflicted damage by 50%.
This and the fact that you can craft it very early in the game might sound very juicy, but you can get 75% damage resistance with bug mutations too. In other words, unless your some is causing mayhem in your game, it’s pretty useless.
This one is more or less an honorary mention because you can only get it in Playgrounds. When equipped, it grants double damage against Spider Webs, Web Sacks, and Black Widow Webs.
It’s not that useful unless you are farming other items or aiming to get an achievement or a medal, so you aren’t missing anything.
The new patch introduces a good number of new items, making it easier for new players to get an extra bonus.
Be creative with your build and try the new ones out; those might be the missing “pièce de résistance” that you build need to destroy any boss or enemy that keeps munching you.
