Grounded is a special Sandbox survival game that shrinks you to a size of a miniature action figure to fight off deadly insects in a backyard.

Scattered throughout this backyard are secret keys and chests that unlock your recipes for vital and strong weapons and gear to help you accomplish quests. Looking for each of them takes time and effort.

Fortunately, this guide will help you find the secret keys and chest of each one. Let’s dive in.

All Secret Keys and Chest Locations Guide in Grounded

The keys and chests are in separate locations. Let’s talk about each key on where to find them and discuss how to get to the chest to open it.

1. Mossy key

The mossy key is located in that Koi pond. It’s in the area that’s in front of the juice box.  Once you get there, simply swim straight down.

While swimming down, you will see bubbles going straight toward the surface. Make sure you touch the bubbles because they will refill your air. Afterward, just follow the path to the chest that’s in front of the root.

The key is located in the lab. Just past the lab, you will see a giant vet with a passage underneath it. This is a secret tunnel that will lead you to the mossy key.

2. Minotaur key

The Minotaur Key can be located at the exposed pipe. You will need to bring a tier 2 dagger to break the soggy roots inside the pipe.

The key is located in a tight space behind the soggy roots. Break the roots to procure the key.

Afterward, the chest is located on top of the picnic table. To get into the picnic table, you have to go through a leaning shovel just past the lunchbox. If you keep following the past, it will eventually lead you to the Minotaur maze

Inside the Minotaur, the maze will be the chest for the Minotaur key.

3. Melted moat

The Melted moat can be found in the infamous Sandbox. You can get to this area through the picnic table zipline. The Sandbox inflicts a deadly Sizzle effect that builds up over time.

A good tip to avoid sizzle is to go to the shaded area and to use the Antlion gear beforehand for the sizzle resistance effect.

The key will be buried beside a plant strand that’s located just in front of the shadow of the shovel.

4. Sticky key

The Sticky key is the most well-hidden key in the game.

It’s located in the upper right backyard. To get there you need to find a way to the ladder, and make your way to the branches to climb to the top of the bricks.

Once you’re at the bricks, you will see a giant bubble gum. Use a tier 3 shovel to destroy it and you will find that the sticky key was inside a piece of gum all along.

You can just simply glide after you’ve discovered the key, since going all the way back would take too much time.

The chest is located in the giant tire that’s in the center of the backyard. To find it, simply just dive into the water and you will easily find the chest inside.
