With the release of the 1.4 Fully Yoked update, the Trinkets that used to do exceptionally well in 1.3 may no longer hold the same power today. While this article originally focused on the best Trinkets in 1.3, this update now focuses on the best Trinkets for the current 1.4 version of the game.

Best Trinkets Tier List for Patch 1.4 of Grounded
S-Tier
Thor’s Pendant
Thor’s Pendant is widely considered the best all-purpose Trinket in the game. Instead than specializing in a single playstyle, this Trinket improves nearly every important combat stat at once. These include your stamina regeneration, stamina efficiency, critical hit chance and damage, health regeneration, healing received, and even hunger and thirst drain.

Giddy Goop
Despite various balance patches, Giddy Goop is still one of the best Trinkets in the game. You can obtain this by killing or stealing from Fireflies. When equipped with a 3-combo weapon, the last hit will also fire a goop that deals 25 damage, minus Movement Speed, and minus Attack Speed to any creature it hits.
This crowd control capability makes it extremely effective against enemies, as slowing them down will make them relatively easier to fight.
The only caveat is that weapons or attacks that don’t have combos, such as Daggers, won’t get any of the benefits.
A-Tier
Broodmother Trinket
The Broodmother Trinket is an excellent trinket to use if you’re running a summoning-focused build. It has the ability to empower your summons by doubling their damage and causing their attacks to inflict poision.
While it’s a pretty niche trinket, it’s still one of the best trinkets in the game due to the enormous increase in damage that it provides.
Fluffy Dandelion Tuft
Depending on your playstyle, the Fluff Dandelion Tuft can be an amazing trinket. You could get it early by farming Dandelions Tuft and unlike the other Tuft, this one has unlimited uses due to its unlimited durability.
With this trinket, you no longer have to worry about replacing Dandelion Tufts in the game. This helps you save inventory space since you don’t have to gather lots of Dandelion Tufts just to prevent deaths from accidental falls.
Unstable Capacitator
The Unstable Capacitator remains one of the solid trinkets for players who prefer aggressive melee playstyles. While it’s not as good as Thor’s Pendant, it does excel in longer fights since it has more opportunities to trigger its effect.
However, it’s very hard to get. Specifically, you can only get it from TAYZ.T during raids, very late in the game. What makes the farming and the struggle worth it is the 10% chance of triggering an explosion of 30 shock AOE damage, ignoring all damage resistances, with a 15 stun bonus.
B-Tier
Trinkets in this tier are highly situational but can still be effective when those situations occur. There’s the Power Droplet which works well with unarmed builds, Sticky Fingers for those who want to farm rare materials, and Compliance Badge for players who are good are landing perfect blocks.
They’re all powerful within their intended purposes but don’t offer the same value as the ones in the higher tiers.
C-Tier
Elemental Trinkets such as Shiny Salt Crystal, Suspicious Mint, and Spectacular Spicy Shard have become much less impressive over time. This puts them at the C tier in Grounded’s current meta.
While the extra elemental damage they offer can be helpful early on, it doesn’t scale well enough later on compared to the passives provided by the trinkets high up on the list.
At the same time, Trinkets like the Nifty Needle, Web Clippers, and Sturdy Shell belong to the C tier as they’re only useful for specific tasks or playstyles.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, the best Trinket for you will boil down to your preferred playstyle and your current progress. If you’re still early in the game, you’d want to go for versatile options that will help make your progression much smoother.
However, as soon as you reach the endgame in Grounded, making the switch to the stronger versions is a no-brainer.
