The Last Faith: Madelyne and Theodora’s Quest – Child’s Play Achievement & Trophy Guide

The Child’s Play quest in  The Last Faith tasks you with finding and helping two girls in the game’s grim world.

Meet them and bring them to a safe place, then provide them with toys. It’s not much, but it’s always important to get any little joy you can when you live in a grimdark world!

In this guide, we’ll take you through every step of completing this quest.

How to Complete the Child’s Play Quest

The first step in this quest is to meet Theodora. She’s chilling inside a building at the very top of the City of Mythringal, marked on the map above.

However, she can only be reached once you’ve acquired the Propulsion Boots that allow you to air dash!

Speak with her inside the building and Eryk will invite her to your hub, the Oxnevylle’s Manor.

She’ll take residence within the middle left room in the manor, which you can reach with your Grapple Hook.

Talk with Theodora at the manor and she will give you one set of Beloved Toys. There are three sets in total, you will need to find the other two out in the world!

Collecting Toys

You can find a second set of Beloved Toys inside a small room at the Ordens Regnant Palace.

There’s no trick to this one, it’s just lying on the floor in the middle of the room.

Now, you’ll need to go to the Liturgical Pass to find the third and final set of toys. It’s in the big room close to the topmost exit leading towards the Broken Pass.

You’ll need to have the Celestial Larva that allows you to double jump first, though!

Follow the path shown on the map to reach the toys. The blue diamond is the starting point, close to the checkpoint. The red arrows are the route to follow and the red circle is your goal.

Meeting Madelyne

Now that you have all three Beloved Toys, you’ll need to head to the mansion on the western edge of the City of Erlim.

Climb the ladder as soon as you enter the mansion and turn to your right.

You’ll see Madelyne there, close to the wall. Speak with her and give her all three Beloved Toys you’ve collected. Madelyne will resent that she now has toys, but no one to play with!

After the conversation with Madelyne, return to Theodora’s room at the Oxnevylle’s Manor.

Theodora and Madelyne are now together and happy. Just speak with them one last time to complete the quest and unlock the Child’s Play achievement!
