It takes forever to farm things in Diablo 4Season 2’s endgame unless you have an insanely strong build like the Ball Lightning Sorcerer build.
This build can pretty much obliterate everything in its path within seconds, making it super easy and fast to use when farming.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to turn your Sorcerer into a true farmer!
Ball Lightning Sorcerer for Endgame Farming
Skills
This is the basis of any build in Diablo 4, as you can imagine, so we will start here. Being an endgame build, you’ll want to be at Lv50 to have the most skill points possible, too.
For Tier 1, just pick up Fire Bolt at Rank 2. Then grab Rank 1 Devastationand Rank 3 Elemental Dominance in Tier 2.
Tier 3 is where you’ll start to get lots of skills, so make sure to get the following:
Flame Shield Rank 1 with Enhanced and Mystical upgrades.
Teleport Rank 1 with Enhanced and Shimmering upgrades.
Ice Armor Rank 1 with the Enhanced upgrade.
Glass Cannon Rank 3.
Elemental Attunement Rank 1.
Similarly, we’ll be picking up a bunch of skills in Tier 4, as follows:
Lightning Spear Rank 1 with Enhanced and Invoked upgrades.
Ice Blades Rank 1 with Enhanced and Summoned upgrades.
Align the Elements Rank 1 with Mana Shield Rank 1 and Protection Rank 1.
Precision Magic Rakn 3.
Conjuration Mastery Rank 3.
This should get you to Tier 5, which is where the real fun begins! This is where we’ll get to pick up Ball Lightning, which is the main focus of this build. Get the following skills:
Ball Lightning Rank 5 with Enhanced and Wizard’s upgrades.
Static Discharge Rank 3 with Invigorating Conduit Rank 3.
Inner Flames Rank 1 with Devouring Blaze Rank 3.
Move on to Tier 6 and get the following to further enhance your Ball Lightning:
Unstable Currents with Prime and Supreme upgrades.
Coursing Currents Rank 1 with Conduction Rank 3.
Lastly, get Overflowing Energy as your ultimate skill in Tier 7 and you’re all done with the skill tree!
Enchantments & Paragon Board
Now, let’s go over the Sorcerer’s Enchantments. You’ll want to use Fire Bolt and Ice Blades as your enchantments.
This will apply Fire damage to your skill and also passively spawn ice blades to further damage enemies!
As for the Paragon Board, it’s simply too large to fully cover in this guide. Nonetheless, the overall setup for this build’s Paragon Board should focus primarily on bolstering your defense and survivability.
Of course, you shouldn’t miss out on upgrading Intelligence and electricity damage as much as possible either. Nonetheless, you’ll primarily use the Paragon Board to offset the build’s weak defense.
Gear
Time to talk about gear! This is what will really make or break this build, with some Unique items being mandatory to truly make the build shine.
But first, let’s go over the generic gear. These items can be pretty much anything, so you only need to make sure that they have the right stats on them as follows:
Helm: Everliving Aspect, Cooldown Reduction, Total Armor, Lucky Hit Chance While You Have A Barrier, Poison Resistance.
Chest: Snowveiled Aspect, Damage Reduction, Damage Reduction From Close Enemies, Damage Reduction From Burning Enemies, Total Armor.
Gloves: Gravitational Aspect, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, Lucky Hit Chance, Lucky Hit: Chance to Restore Primary Resource.
Pants: Aspect of Disobedience, Ranks of Ball Lightning, Damage Reduction, Damage Reduction From Close Enemies, Total Armor.
Weapon: Storm Swell Aspect, Intelligence, Damage to Close Enemies, Mastery Skill Damage, Critical Strike Damage.
Amulet: Aspect of Control, Movement Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Mana Cost Reduction, Ranks of All Mastery Skills.
Ring 1: Prodigy’s Aspect, Critical Strike Chance, Lucky Hit Chance, Resource Generation, Maximum Mana.
Offhand Weapon: Conceited Aspect, Cooldown Reduction, Lucky Hit Chance, Mana Cost Reduction, Resource Generation.
On top of those generic pieces of gear, you’ll also need two particular uniques: Flickerstep boots and Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop for your second ring. These should ideally have the following stats:
Flickerstep Boots: Movement Speed, Mana Cost Reduction, Ranks of Teleport, Shadow Resistance.
Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop: Critical Strike Chance, Lucky Hit Chance, Resource Generation, Maximum Mana.
However, stats aren’t that important for these two items, as their unique Aspect effects are what really matter!
Flickerstepboots will reduce your Ultimate’s cooldown with every enemy you evade through, while Tal Rasha’s ring will give you a damage buff when you deal different types of elemental damage.
Vampiric Powers
Last but not least, it’s time to throw some Vampiric Powers into your endgame Lightning Ball build! It wouldn’t be a Diablo 4 Season 2 build if we ignored them, after all.
Your Vampiric Powers should be the following:
Prey on the Weak to deal extra damage to Vulnerable and Cursed enemies.
Accursed Touch which allows you to inflict Vampiric Curse with Lucky Hits.
Infection to apply Pox to enemies and deal Poison damage.
Ravenous to boost your attack speed if you land a Lucky Hit.
Domination to deal increased damage to Stunned and Frozen enemies, potentially even instantly killing them.
With these Vampiric Powers all set, your build is completed!
