Smalland: Survive the Wilds: How to Get Grasshopper Mount

In this open-world adventure game, one of the most exciting features is that you get to ride on the insects. You can ride on Ants, Grasshoppers, Bees, and other creatures. You have to tame the insects first before you can mount them.

In Smalland, you can ride the Grasshopper as well, but for that, you require a mount to sit on, and for that, you need materials and also need to perform a few steps to mix all the materials to make a mount.

These materials need to be collected from different areas of the map, which sounds difficult but it is considering you already have played the game for a few hours, you would know where exactly to find them.

If you don’t find the materials and also the steps to make a Grasshopper mount, then we will show you steps to do these things.

How to Get Grasshopper Mount in Smalland

1. Do a Skadi Quest and Kill Rhino Beetle

The first step you have to take is to take the Skadi quest and kill the Rhino Beetle. You will find the Rhino Beetle at the very bottom of the map. Killing the Rhino Beetle will give you Rhino Split Horn.

2. Build a Workbench and Stonecutter

The next thing you have to do is build a workbench and stonecutter in one of the encampments. You will have to use these two things after you collect all the materials.

3. Crafting the Cruade Hatchet

Up next is crafting the Cruade Hatchet. For crafting the Cruade Hatchet, you will require – 8 resins, 4 chitins, and 8 wood. All these materials can be found easily in the area.

4. The Poppy Seed

Get the seed of the poppy. That is the next step. You can find the plant in between the Skadi and Kalev regions. You can harvest the plant and you will get the seeds from it as well as nectar.

5. Making Seed Oil and Refined Wood

This is where the workbench and stonecutter come into play. After collecting the seeds, you have to make seed oil from seeds using the stonecutter, and also make Refined Wood from the Wood using the workbench.

6. Building a Cauldron

Next up is building a Cauldron. You can build a Cauldron in the same encampment. It will require its own space, so find sufficient space and build a Cauldron.

7. Make a Grasshopper Treat

Using the Cauldron, make a treat for the Grasshopper so that you can tame it later.

8. Find a Grasshopper and Attack it

Go and search for a Grasshopper on the map. You might have to wander a bit in the surrounding areas but eventually, you will find a Grasshopper. Once you find a Grasshopper then start attacking it.

9. Use the Treat

Do not kill the Grasshopper! We need the Grasshopper to fulfill our purpose. Once the HP of the Grasshopper is low, give the treat that we made previously to it.

10. Mount the Grasshopper

Once you have given the treat to the Grasshopper, it becomes tame, now you can mount the Grasshopper. Go and explore the surroundings and enjoy the ride!
