Medieval Fantasy games are also popular in the gaming community may it be competitive or just RTS, I know that some of you gamers want to know the in-depth details and what you should be looking forward to in the game, what are the pros and cons, gameplay and system requirements stuff like that because today we’re going to talk about a MMORPG game called Gloria Victis which is developed by Black Eye Games and its available on PC and it’s also available on Steam.

Leveling Up

The game features a progression system that enables you to level up your character and create several characters, but it has the drawback that there is really no benefit to leveling up—many games will make you promise wonderful things.

The main reason people and gamers grind is to earn a prize that is promised later on. However, in Gloria Victis, there isn’t really anything that unlocks as you level up; instead, you’re essentially just accumulating more and more numbers over time.

The game might be for you if you enjoy earning experience points, applying them to specific traits, and seeing your strength number increase somewhat from day to day. Or, I should say, this might not be a bad thing in your perspective.

Controls & Combat Mechanics

I’d advise you to search elsewhere if you’re hoping to purchase a game like Gloria Victis solely for the fighting features. The game’s combat system is poorly implemented and extremely complicated for the user in terms of mouse movement and camera angles.

Consider the worst elements of both the camera control in the Mount & Blade series combat and the directional control in For Honor combat. The Gloria Victis battle system will be available if you do that. I found it to be a really upsetting and unpleasant experience.

In order to make the best strike and lose sight of your opponent, you must shift the camera in the opposite direction of the enemy’s movement when you are gazing at him and striking at his weak places.

If you’re a ranged character, things could get worse because ranged builds require a lot of grinding to be even remotely viable.

If you’re shooting arrows at NPCs at a range of roughly 40 yards and they don’t register as hits straight away, it would force you to enter CQC as a ranged-build character with no other option except grinding to extend your range.

After a few bit of a grind, the combat would definitely be pretty enjoyable for ranged units, but given that the camera controls are tied to the directional fighting and make melee combat seem unnatural, it’s possible that some of us aren’t big fans of it.

However, the graphics and setting looks astounding!

In-Game Environment and Graphics

When creating a vibrant and timely atmosphere for Gloria Victis, the creators at Black Eye Games accomplished a respectable job considering the resources at their disposal.

You can tell they did a great job with the graphics optimization and making everything feel current by looking at some of their website’s videos and screenshots. Nothing felt unwelcoming, immersion-robbing, or out of place.

Gloria Victis strikes the mark well if you’re looking for a medieval MMO that will immerse you in the setting. Unfortunately, you’ll need a more expensive mid-high grade computer in order to get what you want out of the game.
