Undecember: How to Farm Skill Rune Magic Upgrade Essence for Free

Undecember just launched a few days ago and has introduced a number of events for its successful launch.

Some events are easy to achieve since it involves logging in to the game daily and completing the tutorial as well as clearing levels in the game.

Some events, however, are impossible to accomplish especially if you are a free-to-play player. Who can blame them, the game needs revenue for it to survive.

Finding the perfect balance where players who enjoy the game for free and players whaling on the game has to be perfectly fair for the game to survive.

One event that comes to mind is the Festa event. Players will have to complete a set of game objectives for seven days to get the Reward at the end of the Event.

One of the tasks that are part of a set of objectives on the third day requires you to combine magic-grade skill runes.

To do this, you need to have x3 magic skill runes to combine them to strengthen your skills.

In this guide, we will show you how to acquire magic skill runes to complete the Festa Event in Undecember.

How to Farm Skill Rune Magic Essence for Free in Undecember

Completing the story in ACT 1 will give you a Skill Rune Magic Upgrade Essence. So far, that’s the only way for free-to-play players can get this item easily.

 At higher levels, you will have the option of dismantling high-level equipment to farm these skill runes but the game is quite new, no one or at least only a few can do this in the game. And chances are these guys are whales in the game to clock this much time to get to a high level quickly.

For us to get the total number of skill rune essences, we will have to create a new character and finish ACT 1. Before we begin, there are a few things we have to do first.

Purchase low-level equipment from the shop

Purchase low-level equipment set from the shop. The cheapest set that you can use in completing ACT 1 is Rustic equipment. Buy a set of those and head to the blacksmith.

Before we forget, you should also purchase some low-level refining items before you get your set upgraded.

Upgrade your equipment

Refine your low-level equipment and reroll the enchantment that focuses on gear dodge rate. Clearing ACT 1 with a suitable set of weapons and armor focusing on dodge raises your survivability until you clear the story.

Put the equipment in storage

Place the enchanted equipment set in storage. The storage is linked to all your characters in the account so your newly created character will be able to access the storage once it’s available for them to do so.

Create a new character in your account and play through ACT 1

Undecember lets you have up to two-three characters per account initially. Create a new character and play through the game. Once you reach level 4 or 5, access your storage and grab the enchanted armor and weapon set you refined from your main account.

With the enhanced weapons and armor equipped, going through ACT 1 will take you about 30 to 40 minutes.

Once you receive the magic rune essence reward, place it together with the low-level equipment set back in storage and switch to another character. Doing this will give you x3 magic rune essences that you will use to pass the Festa Event day 3 objective.

How to Farm for Magic Runes

You can use this method to farm for magic rune essence in the game. The only drawback is, this method will take you 3 days and 40 minutes to acquire one.

You do this by deleting your character and creating one again. Then you will have to complete ACT 1 to get the rewards then rinse and repeat.

If you are focusing on making your main character stronger then this could be an alternative for you. If you farm the essence from two characters then you will have 2 magic rune essence every 3 days.
