Among Gods: Star Upgrade Guide

Being the strongest is what matters most on a battlefield. But you cannot achieve the strength you have been wanting if you do not exploit your skills during the battles.

In playing Among Gods, upgrading the star of your characters is essential. Aside from the fact that it makes you stronger, you can also use them to upgrade the star of another character.

However, the mechanics are quite confusing for some players, especially the new ones. That being said, we made this guide to make it simpler for you to understand how star upgrades work.

Star Upgrade Guide in Among Gods

The reason why it is confusing to upgrade stars in Among Gods is that it is like solving a puzzle. For every star raised, there must be a particular combo to achieve it.

To give you a more comprehensive guide, here is the pattern for the star upgrades.

As shown in the picture, for you to reach six stars, you have to combine the hero with two more heroes that are five stars as well. It doesn’t matter if it is a different hero, as long as it has five stars, it will do.

Next example, if you would like to raise a hero to eight stars, you must combine it with two more characters that are both five stars. Again, it does not matter if the characters are different from each other, as long as they can meet the criteria, you will be able to do the promotion.

Lastly, this is the most important part that most players do not easily get: when you want to get your character to ten stars, you must first have the same hero with five stars. You cannot use different heroes with five stars. For example, if you want to have a 10-star Nobunaga, you must combine it with a 5-star Nobunaga.

That is basically it. It might seem confusing at first, but you just basically have to follow the pattern to promote your characters.
