In the current version of Genshin Impact, Teyvat already has four playable regions. These are the Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. As per the announcement of miHoYo, all the seven Teyvat regions will be released one by one. And for the next year, it will be the Fontaine region.

What is Fontaine?

Fontaine is the fifth expected region to be released next year for the next Genshin Impact update. Its name, Fontaine, is said to be the home of Hydro Archon. The reason behind this is obvious with its name. The word Fontaine is a French word which means fountain.

Where is Fontaine Located?

As we already know, Fontaine is the home of Hydro Archon, and it is expected to be somewhat related to water. If we take a look at the map of Teyvat, Sumeru is next to a very wide river flow. Well, it is reasonable to say that the next region that will be unlocked for the update will be the area next to the latest region which is Sumeru.

In simple words, Fontaine is speculated to be beside the region of Sumeru. But the question left here is on how we can find and go to the Fontaine region itself.

How to Go to Fontaine

Even though Fontaine has not been released as a playable region in Genshin Impact, there are already some clues inside the game on how to reach the Fontaine region.

Liben, a merchant from Liyue and one of the event-exclusive NPCs, is the provider of this information. From patch 2.6, interacting with Liben tells you a lot of information about the upcoming regions such as Sumeru and Fontaine.

According to Liben, you can access the way to Fontaine after going to the northwest of the Liyue. Once you reach the place, you will arrive at the Qiaoying Village. This is a well-known village because of its popular and high-quality tea. Qiaoying is the intersection point of Liyue and Fontaine.
