Genshin Impact: Agnihotra Sutra | Starry Night Chapter Quest Guide

The “Starry Night” Chapter is the initial quest from the Agnihotra Sutra quest chain in Sumeru for Genshin Impact. This is a fairly lengthy questline (Aranyaka) and you’ll have to complete all three Agnihotra Sutra quests to move forward through the Dream Nursery questline.

How to Complete Agnihotra Sutra – Starry Night Chapter in Genshin Impact

To begin this quest, you’ll first need to teleport over to the “Statute of the Seven,” which is West of the Gandharva Ville in Sumeru. Once there, you’ll need to talk to the Eremites that are located by the campfire.

In your Gadget inventory, find and equip the Kusava – direct it at the shattered monument nearby and select the button to summon Aranakin to the monument, which will then ‘restore’ it to the original state.

After, use Dendro ability to ‘activate’ the monument, which will open up and unblock the path. Additionally, a Dendroculus will be made accessible by using the Kusava.

You then need to lower the water level that is in the cave.

Once you enter the cave, you’ll see a large area that has been flooded with water. You’ll be using the Kusava again to restore the Dendro monuments and activating it to lower to water level down in the cave.

Use the Dendro abilities on “Clusterleaves of Cultivation” to make “Four Leaf Sigils.”

This will then generate tethers that you can use to pull and grapple to a location – you’ll need to use these on a seelie to transport around the map to a broken monument location. Once there, use the Kusava on the monument to fix it, and then activate them with the Dendro to lower to total water level.

Now, you can finally explore the cave.

Drop down and head underneath the overarching branches. You’ll now be heading over to the purple Zohrah Mushroom.

Use any Clusterleaves of Cultivation to create Four-Leaf Sigils to grapple up to the area by the exit of the cave. You will be able to exit the cave after fixing the Monument using Dendro.

Once you’ve exited that cave, find and talk to Minum and Ziri, who are standing, blocking the entrance to the cave where the Zohrah Mushroom is. This is Northeast of your current location. Once you’ve finished the cutscene, enter the cave and you’ll find another flood yet again.

Repeat the process we established for the first cave to lower the water level again.

You will then need to ‘break’ the seal on the locked Zohrah Mushroom, after dropping down North.

There are three (3) corresponding seals. You’ll need to use the Kusava on the green-tinted rocks. This will work for the initial two seals, but the third seal is behind a wall that will need to be opened by use of a Dendrograna. Touching all the rocks afterward will ‘activate’ it and prompt Eremite assassins to appear.

Once clearing the enemies, you need to obtain the Zohrah Mushroom – activate the Clusterleaves of Cultivation to latch yourself to a Four-Leaf Sigil and propel yourself to the Zohrah Mushroom. Except – wait. The Zohrah Mushroom is now missing.

Exit the map and locate a bouncy-looking mushroom that can take you to another set of Clusterleaves surrounded by Dendro bombs – which will trigger the Clusterleaves to spawn Four-Leaf Sigils. These can then be used to exit through a rock wall you’ll have to break open.

Once finally outside the cave, speak with Lunja – this will prompt the options to either fight or try to reason with her. Finishing this cutscene prompt, regardless of which option you select, will end the first part of this questline.
