Endling: Extinction is Forever: All Cub Skills and Where to Learn Them

Endling: Extinction is Forever is a survival game that involves making sure that your three little cubs can survive throughout your entire playthrough. As you progress through the game, you’ll normally unlock cub skills that will help increase your rate of survival.

However, there are some that you can only unlock during certain encounters. In this guide, I’ll show you all 8 cub skills in the game and how to obtain them.

All Cub Skills and Where to Learn Them in Endling: Extinction is Forever

As mentioned, there are a total of 8 cub skills you can unlock in the game. They are as follows:

Jump

This is a fairly basic cub skill that you can unlock automatically during night 4.

Squeeze Through

You can obtain this cub skill on night 4 in which the path will automatically open for you. In case you’re wondering, this path I mentioned is on the western entrance to CareCorp. To access the area, you need to dig under the fence on the south and head up north while following the trail.

Go up the walkway all the way to CareCorp until you stumble upon a small gap. As you jump, one of your cubs will fall. You need to climb down to take your cub to the next area by pushing it through the planks.

Dig

As you and your cubs make your way to CareCorp, one of them will fall into a sludge. All you need to do is help it in order to learn the skill.

Climb

You can learn this skill as soon as Molly appears on the map during the game’s progression.

Hunt

You can unlock this at the Scavenger’s Hut. You need to jump onto the wooden platform on top of some cages. One of your cubs will fall down on one of the cages with a rat inside.

High Jump

You can only learn this skill as soon as you unlock the 3rd lair. Jump on the wooden platform and let your cubs follow. Afterward, sleep and you will then be able to unlock the skill.

Dangle

This is another skill you can unlock in CareCorp and will require either the Climb or High Jump skill. Go to the easternmost trail then climb on the container and then on the pipe shortly after. Continue forward until you come across a cardboard box which you need to climb as well.

You then need to cross the bridge until you meet a pigeon sitting on its nest. An event will then trigger automatically.

Deactivate Traps

You can learn this near the end of the game after reaching the third lair. For this, you need to follow the Scavenger who will head over to the northern part of the map. Trail him until you get yourself caught inside a triangular trap.

You will then learn the skill shortly after getting caught in it.
