Jager 45
The Jager 45 is a bit of a funny one in this game. This is your basic starter pistol, and it becomes available as soon as you get access to Create-A-Class. So, it doesn’t take much to unlock!

Even better, you can upgrade them with the Akimbo perk and just go absolutely ham on zombies. It has incredibly high single-target damage and is even solid for hordes of weaker zombies.
The only downside to this gun is that you’ll run through your ammo pretty quickly. But, all things considered, that’s not a huge issue to offset all the pros.
M10 Breacher
This is another gun that unlocks as soon as you get access to the Create-A-Class feature. It’s your best bet if you wish to use a shotgun, so it’s nice that it becomes available so early!
The M10 Breacher has the unique ability of letting you charge its shots. This tightens the spread, making it surprisingly solid at longer ranges, as far as videogame shotguns go.
When upgraded via Pack-a-Punch, it’ll even automatically fire once it finishes charging. It can take some getting used to, but it’s a convenient change if you like firing charged shots fast.
Its damage is no slouch, either, as is to be expected with a shotgun with a tight spread! It’s very ammo-efficient and can dish out huge damage quickly, making it a great pick overall.
MXR-17
A great all-rounder assault rifle, this one unlocks once you reach Level 16. It’s a fairly standard assault rifle when it comes to how it feels, but it performs well in every situation and dishes out great, consistent damage.
What makes this gun shine is just how overall efficient and snappy it is. It’s not the most unique-feeling, sure, but it just never lets you down! Excellent accuracy and damage make it a good pick at every point of a Zombies run.
Dravec 45
Last but not least, this is your best choice if you wish to use an SMG. It unlocks fairly late, at Level 34, but it’s worth the wait.
Like the MXR-17, this gun doesn’t have a particular gimmick or anything of the sort. Instead, it is just an overall strong gun that performs well at pretty much every point! Excellent accuracy with minimal recoil and solid damage. Great for headshots, too.
Where it excels, though, is at close quarters. Its great overall handling makes it a reliable weapon to burst out when you’re getting surrounded, as you can hipfire away without worrying too much about your aim!
