If you have played Green Hell before, then you already know that surviving in the game is not easy. There are lots of dangers you’ll encounter throughout your adventure. There are jaguars and angry tribes stalking the jungle, piranhas infesting the water, and the ever-changing weather.

That said, if you want to increase your odds of survival, then you need to secure a spot for your base. However, you can’t just pick a random spot and call it a day. After all, picking the wrong spot could only leave you starving, or even worse, dying.

To help you with that, I have picked the best base locations you can find in the game. Let’s have a look at where they are in this guide.

Best Build Locations in Green Hell

Before we begin, let’s first have a look at the criteria for choosing these locations. Basically, a good base location should give you access to the most important things in the game. Obviously, these will include food, water, and shelter.

Apart from these, you should also look for a spot where there’s an abundance of crafting supplies. Luckily, the following build locations in Green Hell will provide you easy access to all of them:

Fishing Dock Harbour

This location is some sort of a location that grants you access to a lot of important resources. For one, there are water filters in the area to help you gain access to clean, potable water. There are also lots of birds in the area which are good sources of meat for food as well as feathers for making arrows.

To get to this location, you want to head over to 51 West and 19 South which is somewhere on the northwestern part of the map.

Besides, this location has plenty of flat terrains you can build on. You can even find an ax or machete which you can use as a tool. If you’re playing in Story mode, you can also find a save point on the wall.

Possibly the only downside is there are piranhas in the water, but if you like fishing, they should not be that big of a problem.

Anaconda Island

Anaconda Island is on 35 West 26 South which is basically the spot on the map with the anaconda icon. This location has plenty of important resources around, so you shouldn’t have any problem looking for them somewhere else.

There are tons of loots you can find, there are lots of fish in the water, and there are lots of bamboos as well. Despite the name, there’s really no live anaconda in this place (just a dead one that’s hung on a series of stakes).

However, there are caimans roaming the area which can be quite dangerous. But as long as you’re paying attention, you should be able to avoid them.

Main Tribal Village

The last location on this list is the Main Tribal Village situated on 25 West 24 South on the map. This is a really amazing location for a base as there are tons of stuff you can get. You can find a lot of loots and some blueprints, and there are even hammocks that you can sleep on. There are even lots of bananas lying on the ground.

But what truly makes it amazing is the fact that the location has a pre-built structure that you can then further customize to your liking. The area is also close to the river where there are lots of fish around. It even has its own fishing dock, but just be careful as there are lots of stingrays as well.
