DOOM The Dark Ages – How to Dispatch All of the Cultist Circles Chapter 5

DOOM The Dark Ages has recently been released, and there are a whole bunch of secrets and optional challenges that so many players are currently trying to complete. Among these are the cultist circles as a part of the countercult challenge that you will find every now and then. In this guide, we will show you how to find all three of them in the fifth chapter of the game.

Chapter 5 – Cultist Circle #1

These cultist circles are not exactly “hidden” if you clear everything in the map before finishing the main objectives, so it should be pretty easy to complete the challenge for this level. First, you will want to head to the first hell carrier in the middle of the city as soon as you start the level.

Rather than going for the hell carrier itself, fly down and you will find two towers with a bunch of giant demons standing on top of them. Kill these and reveal the layover landing site in the middle. Go ahead and claim it as an added bonus for a different challenge.

After landing on the layover site, you will find the first cultist circle just along the edges of the structure. You have probably already spotted them on your way down. Kill them real quick and then leave for the next one!

Chapter 5 – Cultist Circle #2

Next, head back out to where you started the level for a better reference point. From where you started, go to the hell carrier to your right this time. You can clear it now and then land on the designated spot highlighted in green.

Head down into the city areas until you reach the part highlighted in the map image below. There, you will find a hole leading to an underground zone. This is a linear path that will take you straight to another cultist circle.

All you need to do is drop down twice and you will fall right into a secret area where you can immediately see the cultists all huddled together. Kill them all before you proceed to the last one!

Chapter 5 – Cultist Circle #3

Finally, go back to the start of the level and head to the hell carrier to your left this time. Proceed into the city from this zone until you reach the part in the map image below. From here, just follow the linear path forward.

You will need to break a chain by throwing your shield at it, and then you need to push a box with a charge as well. Using the box that you pushed forward, you can climb up to higher ground and follow a wooden path that leads you straight to another secret area.

Inside, you will find the last circle of cultists that you need to kill for the challenge. Once you have killed all of them, congratulations! You are now done with this challenge for this particular chapter.

Once you have cleared all three of the cultist circles, you are now free to finish the actual main objectives of this level. You have probably already cleared the layover challenges by now too, since the one that is not required for this is also found along the way to the heli carrier for the third circle.

There are plenty more secrets to be discovered throughout the game, so just keep playing and checking every corner of the map until you are satisfied with the rewards and resources that you have!
