12 articlesDOOM The Dark Ages has just released recently, and as a prequel, it changes a lot of things about the Doom Slayer we know and love as he is not as his full potential yet. With this, his glory kills are not exactly the same as they are in the previous games. In this guide, we will show you how to do these classic finisher type moves, which you might have thought did not exist anymore.
Doom: The Dark Ages – How To Use Glory Kill
Unlike regular glory strikes, you can still trigger a “glory kill” animation by using a certain set of inputs whenever you get the prompt to do the normal ones. To do it, you need to jump while also blocking with your shield.
As you do this, you can trigger a finisher animation by pressing the E button to use a glory strike or whichever equivalent is bound to your control setup. Instead of the plain strike, your character will instead do a quick stomp or use the shield to bash or cut through the enemy instead.
While not as flashy as you probably wanted, this does prove that the old style of glory kills are still kind of present in this game. It makes sense that the slayer cannot easily rip through demons with his bare hands yet, but at least he can still mess them up badly.

And that is everything you need to know about it. Again, this is not officially a “glory kill” so much as it is a glory strike with a different animation. These are different from executions, which are much less flashy too.
