These materials are fairly rare to get, especially if you don’t know where to look. When you do know where to look, though, it’s just a matter of time and luck until you get enough!
While we can’t help you with the luck side of things, we’ll at least tell you where to look for these materials.
Where to Find Sentinel Firing Core & Rusted Gear | ARC Raiders – Unlock Gunsmith 3
Sentinel Firing Gear
First up, the Sentinel Firing Core. Just as the name implies, this one drops from Sentinel ARCs. As we covered in our guide detailing all the ARCs, you can mostly find Sentinels perched on buildings’ exteriors.

ARC Raiders: Where to Find Turbine CompressorApr 30, 2026From what we can tell, the best place to farm Sentinels is in the Dam Battlegrounds map. There are two good spots with Sentinels here.
The first spot is on the northern part of the map, just a bit north of The Breach. There’s usually a Sentinel perched at the top of one of the towers in that area.
For the second spot, you want to go to the Research & Administration building near the center of the map. A Sentinel can spawn near the top of that building, along the eastern stairs.
Now, this second spot is a bit of a tricky one! Many players are using this spot to camp, ambushing other players to take their loot. Make sure to be ready for that.
Also, the Sentinel in this second spot can sometimes glitch out. Its physics can break, causing it to fly off and be unlootable. This is fairly rare, but worth noting.
Nonetheless, these are the best two spots we know of for farming Sentinels and their Sentinel Firing Gear. Just need a bit of luck when dealing with them!
Rusted Gear
As for the Rusted Gears, you can find them randomly when you search containers in Industrial areas. Our recommendation for this one is the Parking Garage in the Buried City map.
This garage is pretty tall, and it’s full of broken-down vehicles you can loot. Every single one of these cars has a chance to have Rusted Gears as one of their items! So, just loot every single car as you go up the garage.
Now, do keep in mind that Rusted Gears are rare, though. It might take you a few tries of farming this spot before you get all of the ones you need.
