The Project for the Flickering Flames event in ARC Raiders will require you to visit a variety of locations, gather a lot of item types, and ideally do it all pretty fast.

This Project is similar to Expeditions. That is, you need to collect and submit a large number of resources to complete it. This includes very basic items like Plastic Parts, but also has some rarer ones such as the Candle Holders.

Rare or not, though, our guide will tell you some good locations to find everything pretty fast!

Flickering Flames Project Item List

First of all, let us give you a quick checklist of all of the items you’ll need for the Flickering Flames event. You can use this as a reference to track what you need:

So, that’s essentially your shopping list for this event. There aren’t any shared items across the different pages, besides the Candleberries. You’ll need a total of 260 of those, so let’s go over them first!

Candleberries

We’ve covered the Candleberries on their own before. But, to keep things simple here, you can find Candleberries while playing maps with the Cold Snap event. They appear as bushes full of red berries, as shown above.

Candleberries can appear in all Nature areas, provided the Cold Snap event is active. The map above shows you the 3 best areas to farm, since they have the highest density of Candleberry bush spawns!

You can also get Candleberries through he Flickering Flames event’s reward track itself. For that, you’ll need to earn Merits.

To get Merits, you really just need to play the game to get XP. You get 1 Merit for every 100 XP. You get the last bunch of Candleberries at 11,400 Merits. This will net you a total of 180 Candleberries, so you’ll need to gather the remaining 80 yourself.

Items in Speranza

Now, before going into any raids for loot, there are actually quite a few items you can get while remaining in the Speranza hub area! They are as follows:

  • Snap Blast Grenade – You can buy 3 from Apollo for 2400 coins each. You can craft them at the Explosives Station 2 with Crude Explosives x2 and Magnet x1. Check out our guide on Workshop upgrades if you need it.
  • Plastic Parts – Sold by Celeste for 1 Seed each.
  • Duct Tape – Sold by Celeste for 6 Seeds each.
  • Durable Cloth – Can be crafted at the Refiner 1 with Fabric x14.

Manage to get all of these and you already have 4 out of the 20 items you need, all without even leaving your base! Not too shabby, right?

Best Item Gathering Spots

With those items out of the way, it is now time to knuckle down and go on raids to loot everything else. For this, we’ll recommend the Dam Battlegrounds map.

The reason for that is that it’s the easiest to fully traverse, and it has locations that can spawn all of the item types required. So, you can pretty much make progress towards the whole shopping list in this single map!

That said, do remember that the loot you can get is mostly random. There’s a lot of variation to what items you find each run, and that’s without even mentioning loot that other players might take before you get to a place.

Nonetheless, there are 3 main areas you want to tackle in this map. So, let’s go over all of them.

Residences

The first location is on the northwestern part of the map, where the Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence buildings are. These count as Residential areas, so you can get the following items as loot:

  • Candle Holders
  • Frying Pans
  • Coffee Pots
  • Film Reels
  • Music Albums
  • Empty Wine Bottles

Make sure to check every single drawer and container within these buildings. Some of the items are rare, particularly the Candle Holders, but you can get them all in this general area.

Hydroponic Dome Complex

This is near the center of the Dam Battlegrounds. It’s mainly an Industrial area, so you can often find the following items:

  • Industrial Batteries
  • Water Filters
Mushrooms on a tree | ARC Raiders

Additionally, you can also often find Mushrooms on the trees around this area. They are especially common in the swamp area to the west.

Research & Administration

The last of these areas are the Research & Administration and Control Tower buildings. They are on the eastern part of the Dam Battlegrounds and are a great source for the following items:

  • Light Bulbs
  • Music Albums
  • Film Reels
  • Empty Wine Bottles
  • Fireball Burners (from the Fireball ARCs)

With that, you should now know all of the locations you need to loot. You’ll also get some of the other common materials you need as you loot these 3 key spots. For example, Plastic Parts and the Fabric to craft Durable Cloth, if you didn’t get those already.

So, there you have it. That’s the locations for every item you need for the Flickering Flames event in ARC Raiders and how to find them fast!
