Treasure of Nadia features a simple fishing mini-game you might sink into when treasure hunting is too much for you. But, that doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on adventuring – pretty fast, you’ll find yourself fishing for sharks! And the first one you’ll be tasked to catch is the Hammerhead Shark.

In case you’re wondering, the Hammerhead Shark is one of the tougher fish to catch in the game. Lots of players end up wasting time simply because they’re using the wrong lure or fishing in the wrong spot.

In this guide, we’re going to show you how to catch Hammerhead shark in the most efficient manner.

To catch the predator you’re looking for, you need a specific lure. For a hammerhead shark, the best possible lure is called Heavy Natural Jig. If you can’t buy it in a shop yet, you’ll need to progress further in the story.

Once you have it, go to the Full Mast Bar. From there, head to the nearby fishing spot where the Hammerhead shark can appear.

But before you cast your rule, look closely at the water. All the fish available for you to catch should be visible, so make sure the Hammerhead shark is among them.

You can distinguish it from other fish thanks to its unique head shape. If it doesn’t spawn, leave the location and enter it again. This might take a few tries. Equip the Heavy Natural Jig then wait for the shark to bite.

Patience is key here. As long as you’re in the right fishing spot with the right lure, you should be able to catch one eventually. If you catch other fish instead, simply keep casting until a Hammerhead shark spawns.

Bigger the Shark, Bigger the Price

The Hammerhead Shark is required for certain crafting recipes and progression later in the game. This makes it worth obtaining as soon as you have access to the proper equipment. Holding onto one can also save you a return trip if a future objective requires it.

If you’re still having trouble catching it, double-check that you’re using the Heavy Natural Jig rather than one of the standard Natural Jigs. While other lures can catch a variety of fish, the Heavy Natural Jig is by far the most reliable option for larger catches like the Hammerhead Shark.

Once you’ve caught the Hammerhead Shark, you can continue with the related quest or crafting objective without any additional requirements. The only real obstacle is having the right lure and being patient enough for the fish to appear.

If the Hammerhead Shark you’ve caught doesn’t satisfy you then you can always leave and enter the location again and look for a bigger one.

The ship’s size on the map reflects how much they weigh. But be careful – remember that your fishing rod can break, causing you to lose the lure you were losing!
