Slime Rancher 2 is the sequel to the award-winning game, Slime Rancher. You are going to continue the adventures of Beatrix LeBeau in exploring the new Rainbow Island.

The game is still in Early Access as of now. Among the new additions is the Jetpack that can help you reach high places, and we are going to show you how to unlock it.

How to Get the Jetpack in Slime Rancher 2

If you want to get materials and slimes in Slime Rancher 2, you may need to travel a long distance. At the start of the game, the resources you need are near your base, but as you progress, you’ll gather valuable materials and rare slimes from other areas. Some items are even hidden in high places that you cannot reach on foot.

This is where the Jetpack comes in handy. It can make traveling easier for you.

Obtaining the Jetpack

The Jetpack can be crafted with the Fabricator found inside the Lab.  It requires 450 Newbucks, 10 Phosphor Plort, and 10 Radiant Ore.

First, you need to get the Resource Harvester, which you can craft in the fabricator for 10 Cotton Plort and 450 Newbucks.

To get Cotton Plort, you just need to give vegetables to Cotton Slimes to drop them. Put the Cotton Plorts in the refinery and craft the Resource Harvester.

Head to the Pink Gordo indicated by a yellow circle in the picture above. Feed it with any food until it explodes. Use the geyser to to reach the button and use it to activate the portal that leads to the Ember Valley. Enter the portal and collect 10 Radiant Ore.

Phosphor Plorts are obtained from the Phosphor Slime, and these slimes only spawns at night. Feed them with a Pogofruit or Cuberry so that they are going to drop Phosphor Plorts. Put all of the materials that you need in the refinery to craft the Jetpack.
