The first thing you need to do in locating the Drill Pit is to head over to the Docking Areas of the Spaceport.
Once you parked your ship here, go to the miner station. Once you are in there, proceed to the air processing area by climbing up the stairs on the left side. You will see the air processing is by facing hard left.
Enter the air processing area and head down the stairs. From there, you should be able to see the drills in front of you. Watch out since there could be some AI enemies lurking around you.
Once you have cleared the area, head down to the center and approach the drill. Access your inventory, and wait for the timer to fill up to 5 seconds and your quest is done.
Find the Vault
The vault is located in the inner ring of the spaceport, but finding the vault is pretty easy. All you have to do is look for the tracks between the two drills. Follow these tracks and they will lead you to the vault. However, you have to carry a blowtorch with you to break that door.
