The Pond Moss is a resource that is used in many advanced crafting items in Grounded. However, since you can only harvest it using a Widow Dagger, you might struggle to gather it a bit for the first time.

Luckily, this guide will help you find this resource in just a few steps.

How to Get the Pond Moss in Grounded

You can find the Pond Moss in the depths of the moat around Moldor Highlands. You won’t find it floating around the water, as you have to dive to the pond floor to clearly see the Pond Moss.

Keep in mind that the area is full of hostile enemies like Tiger Mosquitoes and Spiny Water Fleas. They are capable of dealing significant damage if they surround you, so proceed with caution.

If you finally find a Pond Moss, you will need the Widow Dagger to be able to harvest the resource. Unfortunately, a tier 2 and a tier 1 dagger are not strong enough to harvest this resource.

You can find the materials to craft the tier 3 dagger if you manage to defeat the Black Widow. Before you confront the Black Widow, you need to know that it is one of the most challenging enemies in the entire game, so make sure you have very strong weapons and gear before you take on this mighty foe.

If you don’t have the dagger yet, you can just hunt Spiny Water Fleas as they have a chance of dropping Pond Moss, albeit at a low rate. That said, you aren’t limited to a single spot when farming Pond Moss.

You can also find some around the Stump in the Upper Yard as well as in the Undershed Sinkhole.

Once you’ve finally got your hands on some pond moss you can make some pretty badass items with it. They are as follows:

  • Sour Staff
  • Sarah’s Charm
  • Assassin’s Mask
  • Widow Leggings
  • Moth Leggings

Final Thoughts

Since Pond Moss is an important resource in the late game, you’ll find yourself gathering a lot of it as you progress through Grounded. Once you have the Widow Dagger, however, farming it would become a lot faster.
