First off, you want to obtain Sorush by doing the Khyarena of Good and Evil questline. You will eventually meet her along the way as you do the quest.
The cool thing about Sorush is that she functions as both a gadget and a companion. Basically, you need to equip her via the menu to do so.
As far as uses go, there are a lot of uses for Sorush that we know of. They’re as follows:
- Move four-leaf sigils
- Detect hidden stuff in the desert
- Make a barrier from coalesced Khvarena
- Obtain the Great Songs of Khvarena
- Temporarily open the Amrita Seals
- Solve the Nirodha Fruit puzzles
- Retrieve Plumes of Purifying Light
When it comes to puzzles, not only is Sorush limited to the Nirodha Fruit and Plumes of Purifying Light puzzles. In fact, you can also use her to interact with the Purple Mist and Burgeoning Spirt puzzles.
She also has a unique ability that allows you to replace your character and control Sorush to fly around for a limited distance. This lets you see your surroundings from a different perspective, albeit not far away.
You can also regain more of her powers by completing her training as part of The Recollector’s Path event. This makes her even more useful for your adventure.
That said, in order to do all these and more, all you really need is to equip Sorush via the menu.
